LKLmama (967.1 days ago) Kara`s 1st birthday party is on Sat. I sent out 30 invites. Although I dont really expect more than 30 people to come. I am not worried about it being overwhelming for Kara. We go to the park once a week with a large group of friends so adding cake isnt any different. Just remember you have to cook for all those people! haha Or do what i did and when people ask what they can do to help take them up on their offer. My sister is making the cupcakes, my mom is doing the food, my inlaws are bringing the chairs... I just need to get drinks. :)
STCT (967.1 days ago) Thank you ladies, reason why I ask is with JUST close family we are looking around 64 people. We both have big family`s. I know for sure alcohol will be there, but it`s not going to be a drunken party were people are carried out, but more of a family get together. Seaming it will be the end of August I`m thinking of having water actives for the older kids, but I`m still not sure. I want my daughter to have fun, but she`ll still be so little. Thanks again.
mdbabyno1 (967.7 days ago) oh, and we are having 36 adults and about 10 babies/kids
mdbabyno1 (967.7 days ago) It seems like all 1 year old parties I`ve been to recently have had alcohol and they have all been so much fun. It`s not there for people to get hammered but an ice cold beer or margarita is always yummy. Unfortunately, we are having our little girls party at a lagoon where you aren`t allowed alcohol... we are thinking of making `punch` for the adults.
mimi2b2aboy (967.7 days ago) ok i have to comment even though we already talked about it! lol we are having over 60 and half is kids and half is adults, we will be serving alcohol at this party. just because there is alcohol being served doesn`t mean that it isn`t for my child it just means we are trying to make it entertaining for the adults as well. i dont want to come off rude, but i think that is kind of being close minded because in reality how many 1 year olds can you invite to a birthday party and all of them have fun? this is not directed at you sumer just a previous comment. i m blowing my daughters first birthday out of the water. it is her first birthday it`s a big milestone, but it will also be her baptism hence why it is going to be so big, but still. i m proud to admit that alot of the people coming WILL be adults and we WILL be serving alcohol. i think whatever the parent feels comfortable with the parent should do. it`s not on us to judge on what others do or how others throw parties.
amber325 (967.7 days ago) we prolly have about 40 people coming
taliyahsmom (967.7 days ago) We had a lil over 50 peeps for taliyahs first birthday!! :) it was a blast! party lasted alllllllll day!
ibaheir2dathrone (967.7 days ago) We`ve never had less than 20 at their parties. However at Sarah`s 1st there will be a goo gob (I know, country word! lol)
My hubby`s family is quite large. (he is 1 of 7 and one of his brothers has 11 kids most are my kids age) there may be 70 people or more coming. (all closely related) :)
MS.mom (967.7 days ago) It`s just hard to say. I had about 20-30 (it wasn`t bad since it was outside). You just don`t want to overwhelm them with too many people. Just family and maybe some friends that has young babies.
