california-mom (965.9 days ago) Babies in bikinis are cute bc of the fat chubby rollies =) My 5 year old wears a tankini. IMO those are ok throughout all ages.
kottonkurlz (966.5 days ago) I like what ermsmom said, `Let little girls be little girls.` I don`t care for them either. There is a such thing as age appropriateness.
aprilraine (966.5 days ago) I dont mind the little tankinis with boy short bottoms, or skirt bottoms, but I`ve seen some babies, toddlers and pre-teens in string bikinis and the triangle tops, and I just don`t think it`s right!
Smarie79 (966.5 days ago) I think they are really cute! I usually let my girls pick theirs out.
ermsmom (966.5 days ago) I personally won`t put my daughter in a two piece. Maybe I`ll let her wear one when she`s a teenager but I prefer little girls to look like little girls.
mommiekayla (966.5 days ago) It`s a baby..babies can cruise around in nothing but a diaper or the little swim diapers. I think it`s perfectly okay. ?? Sexualizing a baby because she`s in a swimsuit?? really??? Because her stomach is showing?? I`m not getting this.
LKLmama (966.5 days ago) My daughter wears two peices because its easier to take her potty in one than in a one peice. But hey, my daughter is naked half the time so wearing a bikini IS being modest for her!
busymommyof3 (966.5 days ago) Bikini`s were invented to be sexy!!! The designer in the 40`s could not get ANY model to model it. Only nude dancers modeled it. It took awhile to be accepted!

nmck (966.5 days ago) If it was a modest swimsuit, I would put my baby in it. When I go to the pool I see a lot of girls, (Little, and not so little) running around and playing like kids should constantly adjusting their bikinis or not adjusting them as the ride up or down. I would be most concerned with my daughter being able to play without care to what her swimsuit is doing. But, I use a rashguard top for my son to protect from the sun, so I am sure I will with girls too!
lovingmytoddler (966.6 days ago) my daughter has a variety of swimsuits. and as long as she is happy, swimming, and playing i am fine with it. nothing wrong because i see it as so cute and adorable.
ashmos (966.6 days ago) It just depends on your views and your lifestyle. Some people see no problem with it, and some people do. Everyone is different.
nutnut (966.6 days ago) really it depends on the bikini. ive seen some for little kids in walmart that were nothing to them. little triangles and strings. honestly im not comfortable with them, but to each their own. if its just in your back yard, or with family its not really a big deal. they have tankini`s which cover alot more, are two piece and just adorable in my oppinion. my daughter wears those shes 7. the other issue, my daughter burns in the sun easily even with sunblock. so when she was very little she wore a t shirt over her swimmy suit. now, she argues but if its a very sunny day, i will make her wear the tshirt. its not about being a prude, or associating bikinis on a child as anything sexual. its more of whats safe and appropriate for your family. its really not much different than saying `i cant wear this to church! let me change` or `i cant go out in public like this, let me put on a decent shirt`. its just what is personally acceptable. i would worry more about in public rather than my own back yard. plus i want my daughter to understand that a certain amount of modesty is a good thing. it doesnt mean i want her to totally hide or be ashamed of her body, but i personally feel she should be learning at an early age what is appropriate attire outside of the home.
heathert (966.6 days ago) really? one peices can show just as much as a bikini besides the tummy. That is a little rude saying it is sexualizing our little babies.
lovemyfamily (966.6 days ago) I`m not into sexualizing my baby girl.. I`m with you!
Rachel918 (966.6 days ago) My daughter has a really cute bikini with a skirt bottom and she looks wicked cute in it. I prefer the bikini for her because its much easier to change her diaper or swimmy than taking a whole suit off.
pooka (966.6 days ago) I think bikinis on babies look awkward like not easy to play in and i can`t even imagine trying to pull a sun screen slicked baby out of a pool if they had a bikini on. Personally I feel like seeing girls in the pool that are 7,8,9 etc parading around in bikinis always kind of weird me out. Half the time they are up their ass and butt cheeks are hanging out or they are so tiny can see way more then you should be. So I guess *IF* I had girls, I have boys (thank god!) I wouldn`t really put bikinis on cept maybe for a picture for cuteness factor. And def would NOT allow by older girl to wear one. Man this topic makes me glad i have boys and don`t have to worry about them walking around with bums and boobs hanging out!!! What stress!
jessberr31 (966.6 days ago) I`m very protective of my DD, but she has one and two piece suits. And no way did I get her the two piece ones b/c I want my 3 year old to be sexy. I get whatever I think is cutest as far as pattern, color scheme, ruffles, etc. And I too feel like if there is a perverted gross person looking at my DD then its not going to matter if its a one or two piece, they are both form fitting, clingy, and revealing whether you can see the mid-section or not. I`m nervous about weirdos looking at her whether we`re going to a pool or the grocery store, in a bathing suit or reg clothes.
heathert (966.6 days ago) the only difference in a bikini is the tummy area is out, It would have never crossed my mind about a baby looking sexy
sheework (966.6 days ago) For me bikinis are for people who want to look sexy and show off their bodies. So with my thinking the way it is I wouldn`t put my girl in a bikini if we were going to a public place. I don`t see a reason why little girls need to be sexy or look sexy. At home is fine, whatever you are in the privacy of your house.
heathert (966.6 days ago) mine has both- I see no problem. My 16 y/o wears both also. Sick men/women look no matter what they are wearing imo.
KelliA (966.6 days ago) I wore bikinis as a baby/young girl and they are adorable. I get a kick out of seeing their baby bellies stick out. I mean when else can you get aways with that? I see that several people commented about weirdos and sickos out there. If someone is sick like that a bikini or one piece is not going to make a difference. They will still see the child in the same inappropriate way.
RobinG (966.7 days ago) I am not a fan of them on little girls ~ Just me. I know some who are all for it and others not.
canadababy (966.7 days ago) My mom bought my DD a tankini bikini, I can`t wait to try it on her :) It`s going to look so cute!
jpcm (966.7 days ago) I have 2 girls, ages almost 3 and a 1 yr old....at home....they are in bikini`s......for reg pools, or when we go to bigger places for SWIMMING, they are in one pieces, NOT because i am worried about someone looking, but because they are young...i do one pieces because yes, when babies ar ewet, they are slick, and one pieces are easier to hold onto them....and i can`t really stand how the bikinis the top rolls up, just looks uncomfortable, but....it is PRECIOUS...my girls evenhave matching string bikinis, with little lady bugs on them. TOO cute!! They mainly only wear them here in the TINY pool, that they can climb in and out of, on their own, supervised of course, but really.....PERVERTS, can look at children no matetr what they are wearing. My husband always grimaces, when i put girls in bikinis, but he says, as long as they are young enough to not be hiding anything, they are fine. Babies go aroudn in less, diapers and that`s it. I see nothign wrong with bikini`s. My odler daughter would have worn them more, had we been able to find more bottoms that fit better.
busymommyof3 (966.7 days ago) I have 2 girls 5 and 4 and NO bikini`s are allowed. I did with my first and as she got older I got more protective and conservative! There are a whole bunch of weirdos out there. I took dd to park and she was playing in the sand and she was only like 2 @ the time I was sitting there just watching her and watching the aiplanes land since it was by the airport. i look at this MAN he was looking at her underwear. She was wearing short and her undies were showing a bit. I looked at her then him. He was caught and her knew it. He looked away and got up and walked away quickly. I gave him the most disgusting look you will ever see on a persons face. I think after that I realized they need to be more covered. NO dresses are allowed with out short. ( thin cloth ones) and no SKIRTS period. I was fighting my husband b/c he was very conservative from the start. I was like its only a bikini. But I now see his point. Children go missing all the time and if being a prude prevents it somehow well then call me a prude..=) I dont hate on others that do! Your child = your choice
bluejeans (966.7 days ago) In the sun I would coover my daughter up but I think they are so cute with there fat little bellies.
harimaudahan (966.7 days ago) I personally dont like seeing babies or young girls in bikinis. I guess I`m just old fashioned. I also imagine there are sickos out there eyeballing our little girls when they are wearing so little, you can never be too careful!
amber325 (966.7 days ago) I have 5 suits for olivia...4 are bikini`s! soooo cute the one 1 piece I got b/c it ad ariel on it. But what is the big deal with bikinis ( I do try not to buy cherry clothing...b/c popped cherries lol)
5against1 (966.7 days ago) i always thought they looked weird on babies. (i also think its equally weird when you see a newborn stuffed in jeans that go up to his neck, lol.) one pieces also offer more sun protection since more of the body is covered, and will make the baby easier to hold while wet in the pool or ocean.
STCT (966.7 days ago) I`ve never put one on my daughter, but I did buy a two piece that looks like a one piece because she had a full one piece and it was hard to change her when she and her suite was wet.
ibaheir2dathrone (966.7 days ago) There is nothing wrong with being modest at any age. :) No bikinis for our girls.
