maybaby2008 (962 days ago) i used to have the same problem and for the first 6 weeks nathan slept in the bed with me and joseph i had to cuddle and hold him to get him asleep.if he woke up at night he would only go back asleep in our bed too. i tried a few things... a warm bath and straight in to a warm room to get him dressed and make sure his hair is fully dry. the hair dryer i left it on and he fell asleep to the noise of it or i had music playing and i rubbed his head. now he falls asleep himself thank god! yorkc39 (962.6 days ago) my baby always has to be full when she goes down, make sure she has just had a bottle and enough to eat. My daughter also likes her pacifier as her `comfort` item, and she likes to be warm, so I always put a blanket over her. You can get her used to a small stuffed animal as well if you like, and with my LO, I always have to leave right away or else if she sees me, she`ll cry! Idk why that is but just leave her alone right away and give it time, you may have to let her cry it out a bit, but give it 10-15 min before you check on her, do not go after 5 min, and also don`t wait too long otherwise they`ll cry longer. KR (962.6 days ago) slowly get her use to being more independant. If you put her on the floor for some tummy time, lay there with her and interact with her. If she`s whinny for a little while thats ok as long as she is clean, not hurting, and full its ok. You dont want to tend to every whimper and whine other wise it can become a playful game for her or a constant need of attention. Once she is use to being on the floor with you start to take yourself away and replace your interaction with some bright toys more so the ones that make music and light up. These will keep her distracted from you being gone for a moment and she may start to reach for them. Over time she will be more use to her *alone* time. EditDelete
