Peachy09 (136.1 days ago) LoL...stop watching! I got the pedicure & plan on that again. Brought makeup for after, but no one really expects you to look great after giving birth! And they call it LABOR for a reason. We took some very honest looking pics of an exhausted new mom holding DS right after he was born, & I wouldn`t trade them for anything.
Mumbo (146.5 days ago) Ps, ponytails are a bad idea, I had a ponytail and after having a c-section I couldn`t get out of bed, the next day my hair was a matted mess, I thought I`d have to cut the knots out - ponytails don`t hold up. Go for a tight braid if you`ve got long hair... then when you take your hair out, you`ve got that crinkly beach look :)
Mumbo (146.5 days ago) Haha! I glammed up as I knew I was being induced, but trust me, I looked completely shiteous straight after I had my son, in fact I swear labour and all the drugs stuffed with my skin, it was so dry in hospital, I only felt good once I got home. I remember I showered before they broke my water (my induction didn't really take) but I remember them asking me if I had make-up or nail polish on when I was rushed into surgery, so I think they would've taken it off if I had any on anyway...
LailasMommy (146.7 days ago) i had planned on looking good but my water broke when i had just got out of hte shower so all my makeup was off and my hair was up after a while i just didn`t care anymore:)
sublimelbca7 (146.7 days ago) Yeah i didnt put any makeup on. No contacts either. I just cared about being showered and legs/vaj shaved! Labor is a workout, hair and makeup would get messy during the process. Why bother?
Bangel (146.8 days ago) I just cared about brushing my teeth before we left. think it would of took forever if I tried to do my hair and make up inbetween contractions. lol
ArcticArlz (146.8 days ago) nope, pretty sure that will be the last thing on my mind
christinarose (146.8 days ago) My make up and hair was the last thing I was thinking about when I was in labor! I don`t think I did anything to my hair except wash it for weeks after she was born!
arkansastechmommy (146.8 days ago) I was induced with both of my boys, so I was in full make-up, and fixed hair. People thought I was crazy, but I still looked good when I was done having them.... I think it depends on whether or not your delivery is scheduled too.... You wouldn`t take the time to get fully fixed up, if you were having awful contractions, and needing to go............
thebigtomato (146.8 days ago) The absolute last thing in my mind was whether or not I looked good when I delivered my son. And I knew I wouldn`t care ahead of time so I didn`t bother. I did pack the basic makeup for when I left the hospital for the coming home pics, but I don`t even think I ended up putting it on. I was too tired.
Sarah - Hopeful for 2010 baby (146.9 days ago) I hadn`t planned on wearing makeup but I did want to look nice when it was time. That didn`t work out. I had just got in bed when contractions started and I was in far too much pain to mess about with hair and makeup and labour was quick as well.
emmie26 (146.9 days ago) i planed on it but it didnt really work out that way both times
littlepixie (146.9 days ago) I plan to have my make up done, i would hate to have no make up on!! be my luck tho that i wont have any on when its time. lol. I dont mind if its not full make up, just enough so that i dont look like death warmed up. x
♥ ħhlЄy ▫ ßєär ®♥ (146.9 days ago) i had always planned to but the minute i went into labor it wasn`t on my mind anymore lol :) as soon as i had the baby tho..i went straight to the shower and fixed myself up !
mommyjenn88 (146.9 days ago) well i plan on putting makeup on, but i am wearing my hair in a pony cause i dont want it in the way. im wearing socks too so a pedicure doesnt matter.
cncmom (146.9 days ago) I had a scheduled c section both times so I took a shower before I left for the hopital and completely got myself ready. I wanted to look good for when my son`s first saw their mommy! Ha!
dedileb (146.9 days ago) thing is i watch way too many baby shows and there are soo many women that go to the hospital looking good, from the hair to the nails and makeup and i just wonder how many mom plan that...
