It depends on how well he can lift his head.

thebigtomato (961.2 days ago) I never put my son on his tummy. Once he could roll to his tummy, I didn`t roll him back over though.
jessberr31 (961.7 days ago) Oh, and now that my lo is 5 months now he is like Lemony`s, from belly to back to side, he`s all over his crib!
KR (961.7 days ago) if your baby isnt turning over on to his or her tummy on their own yet then you should wait. Its recomended that each abby be put to sleep on their back until they can turn on their own (this way they have more motor skills and can turn their head if needed) My daughter started to roll to her tummy at 3 months and i would leave her to sleep that way!
jessberr31 (961.7 days ago) I never let any of my babies sleep on their tummies b/c of the back to sleep campaign, but this lo, well, he`s been sleeping on his tummy from about 6 weeks old. He just slept soooooo good that way, and he could already lift his head up good too. He would actually cry to be put on his tummy! IDK, when I was younger my mom put all my lil bros on their bellies to sleep and that was what was considered the safe way b/c they said if baby was on their back and spit up they could choke, then they changed it. So I guess its all up to what you think is safest/best for your lo.
lemonysickness (961.7 days ago) I`m with xolblondieox. My LO was a tummy sleeper from 4 weeks of age only because she was born with great head control. She sleeps awesome, of course now she rolls but she is like her Daddy, one minute on her tummy, the next her side, then her back, then all the way back to tummy haha.
butterblocksmom (961.7 days ago) Well, Back to Bed, Front to Play is what the experts say BUT, I do also know some kids sleep better on their tummies. So, like all these ladies say, if they prefer to sleep on their tummies, they will naturally do that.
