ms m (959.3 days ago) Thank you all for your comments.. have decided to leave little one home with my hubby and just make a morning and arvo visit to the hospital. XX
EmmaReed84 (959.9 days ago) I wouldn`t take my LO in the hospital. I made that mistake with my eldest. Nothing to do with him contracting anything, but I went to see my nan (his great nan) and there were loads of old people, being sick, screaming, moaning. My son was petrified (sp?) He just sobbed until we left, he was in such a state I felt terrible. I don`t think hospitals are places are children IMO. Unless they HAVE to go. I would buy some dettol anti-bac wipes and wipe EVERYTHING.
KelliA (960 days ago) My sister and brother in law are both nurses and they did not want their children to come visit them for any reason. There are so many germs therre I would not bring a baby there. Swine Flu is on everyone`s radar but I would say that it is really all of the other stuff that you should worry about. Can someone bring the baby to you to feed after a few hours? Maybe you could feed outside and then go back in to visit Mom.
malachismom (960.2 days ago) I work in a hospital and I do not touch my children until I have showered when I get home. I keep my work shoes away form the children and do not walk in them in the house. There are many other illnesses to be concerned about contracting and bringing home including the regualar flu that kills thousands yearly.
mumsy (960.3 days ago) Hospitals are the dirtiest places!! Avoid it if you can.
IvysMomma (960.3 days ago) if possible try to avoid taking your baby to a hospital. I hate even taking my daughter to the doctors office, getting sick is no fun. Why take a baby to a place where sick people go unless its an emergency
luvbeingamom (960.3 days ago) With or without swine flu, the hospital can be a hot bed of virus`s. It can be awful and very dangerous for babies. you are better off going for a short while or going and pumping for your LO. My son contracted virial menengitis (spelling?) when he born from one of the nurses in the room when i gave birth.
