pediatrician because they specialize in babies

pediatrician, all the way. Kinda of like, when you go to a dr, for a reg checkup, and the dr refers you to a specialist in THAT area, you go to a diff dr. Where a family doctor is qualified to care for babies-all the way into adulthood, they aren`t SPECIFICALLY specializing in pediatrics. We wanted to have a dr for girls, that was did just that, specialize in pediatrics. I`ve also liked that, when an outbreak of something is going around, it`s easy to call up pediatrician and ask about it, because they see so many kids in a day. AND, the waiting rooms, are way more kid friendly. I kow when i go to a dr appt for me, (not much) but when i do, it`s stressful bringing 2 toddlers, or babies, and them crying or fussing, where, at the pediatrician`s office, it`s normal LOL, and i find myself thinking `thank God, it isn`t MY child` LOL

I prefer a ped. A ped specializes in children a family docs doesnt. I know two moms who went to a family practice and changed after because both had a child with concerns and the family doc didnt pick up on the dx as fast as the ped. (My SIL to this day shares how she regrets using a family doc with her first and half the troubles would have been eliminted if she had used a ped.) A ped sees things everyday when it comes to kids and is more intune with kids issues more so then a family doc.

I prefer a pediatrician, but I have to settle for a family practice doctor. I wanted a pedi, but got no where because - the one company policy, the other pedi office wasn`t accepting new patients and the other office didn`t accept our insurance - ugh!

Is it getting fixed or what because its more than a joke at the moment. Maybe its the ads causing the problems because its the only thing that seems to stay when the profiles disappear.

Or should I throw down the money to something more practical?
