You`ve waited & tried for a long time, during which, you sort of maybe unconciously were looking forward to the attention it would finally bring after such a long wait. A friend of mine felt the same way! As for me (I got pregnant just shortly before she had her baby & no one knew - heck, they still don`t cuz I`ve been taking a voluntary lay-off from work! BIG surprise when I come back! Ooop!) Any how, I think I was that way the last time around, due to a long wait, a few m/c`s along the way, etc. This time, I`m not at all feeling that way - I actually was thrilled when a co-worker announced her pregnancy, so she could divert all that THUNDER! Unfortunately her's ended in m/c just 2 or 3 days later ... I actually ended up really feeling sorta`GUILTY for her MUCH PLANNED pregnancy ending that way, and my VERY unplanned pregnancy to carry on :( Don't get me wrong - I`m THRILLED about this little one & would DIE if anything were to happen, but, you know what I mean, right?

I do not live anywhere near any of my old friends. I live in the USA now and they are all in Canada. :S I think its my hormones probably, I have had mood swings lately. But when I think of it even with my wedding and my graduation they were ruined by other people so maybe I just want a day to myself. Guess it isnt too bad we wont all pop on the same day hehe

Same thing happened to me, two of my friends got pregnant right after I did. I was a little upset at first because one of our friends has to be the center of attention and I know she was so envious when we found out we were preggo. But on the other side, I got preganat a month after a good friend of mine did. It was a lot of fun to share our pregnancies together, and now that they are 5 and 6 months old it`s super fun for them to have a playmate and share clothes! :)

i know how you feel...i found out i pregnat with my first and 4 weeks later my sister told everyone she was pregnant, then we we told the family that we were gonna start trying again, about 2 months later my sister announce that she was pregnant, both time i was like wth....i think that in the end you will be glad that you are all due at the same time/around the same time bc you will have plenty of people to have play dates with!!

It is def hormones ((hugs)) try not to be angry or mad at them since they had no part in stealing your attention. It is rare that a woman intentionally gets pregnant just to spike someone else who is recently pregnant or is trying. And chances are your friends are near the same age and wanting to have and start a family or expand on a family too. My SIl tried to 2 years to get preggers, my other SIL tried for one month and I tried for 18 months and yet we all got pregnant within 4 weeks of each other and me and one SIl had the baby on same day. None of us viewed each others pregnancy as stealing the attention. Take the moment and turn it into have a friend who can relate and be there for you cause they are doing the same thing and now you will have play dates and kids who are same age to play together. Try to find the good it will bring, not what it takes away. Babies are a gift for everyone to enjoy :) ((hugs))
