We found out with our 1st but not our 2nd. I`m on the fence regarding which way I prefer. With our 1st it was really nice knowing because there is so much unknown. With the 2nd it was really nice to have the moment of surprise since some of the mystery of pregnancy and parenthood had been removed. However I did miss being able to refer to our 2nd as he or she and by name. I`m not sure which way we`d go if we had a 3rd. In the end I`m glad we`ve tried both ways.

We didn`t want to find out with our first and 3 weeks before he was born the doctor slipped up and told us the gender. The last three I thought about not finding out, but I was due in the winter and because of the let down with the first we decided to find out with them. I would really like a suprise but I really enjoy finding out as well. I also don`t feel too let down about finding out becuase there`s still the suprise of what they look like, hair color and eye color.

I didn`t find out for my first two and did for my third and i much perfer not to know and so my fourth (and last) we are not finding out and i can wait for the surprise.
