I haven`t given birth yet. Midwife told me at my first visit that they will not induce until you go at least 41 weeks!!! She actually said not to even bother asking. Geesh

A friend of mine was induced two weeks early never heard of three weeks, her baby was measured to be big I think if I remember right he was average.

I was induced at 39 weeks with my son, because the doctor`s office was closing before my due date and I didn`t want another doctor. The doc offered to induce at 38 weeks, but I wanted to wait. This time, same doc, is going to induce me at 38 weeks. No reason at this point, but he has no problem doing it.. i`ll probably wait until 38 1/2 weeks.

I was induced at 37 weeks because of low fluid levels and she was perfectly healthy, weighing in at 7 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches long. They felt confident to induce that early because on the ultrasound it said she would be over 8 1/2 lbs and her lungs looked good. I was still a little nervous but i knew they could of been wrong on my dates anyways so i think she was ready because i was already having contractions when i went in but the contractions just weren`t consistent.

i had to be induced by my due date both time b/c of GD. With my second my doc let me schedule it 4 days early so that i could make it to my friends wedding :-) but that was as early as he would do it. He would never do it that early unless there was a medical reason that it needed to be done.
