Bek 30 (940 days ago) Ooops, trust me the little pain u have afterwards is worth it..I lived with gallstone ( 6, 2cm in diameter, and some stuck in the bile duct, for 5 years, no dr would believe me that I was so sick and something was wrong), when I seen my new dr, I seen him on the Tuesday, and that Thursday I was in hospital having it removed..it was nasty, the only thing that hurt the most was when they take the tube out, but it`s just like child birth, hurts for a split second...just have a huge cough when they tell u to.
Bek 30 (940 days ago) I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago, I had to stay in over night for blood to drain..but none did, I also knew 3 other ppl that had them removed a month or 2 before me, and we all recovered at different rates...just don`t break down while driving 3 days after the op...lol, I did and no one would pick me up, I must have looked like a real druggo, all hunched over, trying to walk for help... that bit of walking set me back weeks, for a few days afterwards though their is pain...and 1 useful tip I can give u, is to roll out of bed, don`t try sitting up, roll ure legs out first.
amygirl22 (940.1 days ago) I didnt have a gall bladder removed but I did have a cyst about the size of a large grapefruit removed off of my right ovary this way. I was in and out in the same day. No over nighters. I took it easy for a couple days but was back to normal in a about a week.
ibaheir2dathrone (940.1 days ago) I had it done when I was 20 weeks preggers. I was ok. I took it easy. (real easy) :) I stayed in the hosp. a week.
KR (940.3 days ago) I had my gall blader removed and spleen when i 14 this way. The recovery was good. I was back in dance class the following monday to watch the routines (not dance i wasnt crazy lol) i went in on tuesday I had butterfly stiches and i was a little sore and tender. I had to wrap my tummy when i took showers untill it healed and it would hurt a little to get up from sitting but it was fine.
butterblocksmom (940.3 days ago) My sister had it done and was SO worried about recovery (she works and has three kids)....they told her 6 weeks for recovery, standing, lifting objects,,,,she was fine within 2 weeks and it was the best thingshe ever did (she had horrible attacks!!!)
heathert (940.3 days ago) Not gall bladder but ovarian cysts- the first was ok I had some pain had it done Wed back to work MOnday. The last one was more painful dr said due to scrapping more. I was down a bit longer but much better than a full incision that took me a whole lot longer. The worse to me was the pain in the shoulders from the gas. You will do fine and good luck! Are you having it done soon?
