Pregnancy-poll poll Has anyone discovered they had fibroid tumors during their pregnancy. I did at my last u/s and was a little freaked out about it, but Doc seemed to brush it off. She said it`s not blocking my cervix so it should not cause any problems during deliverary. I am concerned about after the fact. WIll it cause problems in the future? Doc said most likely no.

They found one in an ultrasound when I had bleeding at 7 weeks, I freaked out as I thought it would most definitely cause me to miscarry, or at least have a premature baby, but no, I carried my son without any complications, and was actually 10 days overdue so had they not actually told me about it, I would never even know I had it - absolutely no problems at all.

My friend `marie` just had a fibroid tumor removed and it was the size of a laarge grapefruit, they basically had to preform a c-sec on her. She went back for a 6 week check up and ultrasound, and the doc found that they are growing back and it has doubled to two tumors now. Her GYN told her that if she wants children she had best do it now, because if the tumors keep returning at this rate she won`t be able to have children much longer. So her and her fiance pushed their wedding up to October so they can start trying for kids right away.

I knew I had multiple fibroids including one rather large one before I got pregnant. Because I had several and a very large one, I had a lot of problems. However, most people who have small ones have little to no problems. The biggest risk is that pregnancy hormones make them grow. Since mine was large to start with, it grew like crazy. I had it removed at 15 weeks pp and it weighed over 9 pounds. If yours is small, even if it grew it should be no problem. Good luck!!

  4. i posted a little while ago about my 16 month old daughter waking up in the middle of the night and staying awake for an hour. Well last night it was 2.5hrs. I gave her milk and she was still wide awake, rubbed her back and even let her cry for an hour(me going in frequently). I don`t know why she is waking up for long periods. She only takes 1 nap which lasts 2-3 hrs, has a regular bedtime routine since she was little. What else can I do and why is she doing this?
  5. For those of you who exercised during pregnancy, what week did you stop? I`ve been going to the gym 4-5x/week for 30 min or so for most of my pregnancy (doing the eliptical or walking on the treadmill). Now that I`m 37 weeks, I`m just not motivated anymore. My ankles are swollen most of the time, and my knees, feet and groin are sore. I pretty much limp around pathetically when I walk. 30 min walking on the treadmill just wipes me out now, and I`m too tired to do anything for the rest of the day. I feel so pathetic, and I want to stay healthy...but when do you give up? I plan on working back into things post pardum btw. Thanks!

  10. Ok, so my 1 year old used to be such a good sleeper, approx 8-7:30. The last few nights has been driving me nuts, she`s been waking me up at 6am! I`ve tried everything, giving her some milk to go back to bed, putting toys in her crib to occupy her, but she kept crying after a short while. She wanted to be out and playing like it was her wake up time. I tried feeding her breakfast once though, and she wouldn`t have it, so I suppose I don`t know what to do. She`ll drink her milk, but she just wants to get out and play, what do I do?!
