Right before my daughter turned 1 (like a week before), we graduated up to the toddler formula that is milk-based to get her tummy used to it. Then, she was on that for about a week or so. We wanted to wean her off of formula and the bottle at 1, so we started giving her milk in a sippy cup...everything was a sippy cup. She did have diahrea (sp?) a few times, even now she still gets runny poop sometimes if she has WAY too much milk in a day.

sweety i had good luck with the walmart toddler supplement called Parents choice. My son likes it way better then enfamile kind. Its just 1-2 cups a day for all their recommended vitamins etc. Then I just give my son (15 months) milk on like his cereal and he gets yogurts and cheese etc.

Im thinking ill switch over at 1 year(dd is 6 months old now) but im still gonna give her a bottle of toddler formula just to be sure she gets all her vitamins in.:-)

We introduced whole milk at 1 year and just put it in a sippy cup. He adjusted just fine and also took it in his bottle until 15 months when we weaned him off that. It really wasn`t too tough at all. Good luck:)

I would try to just give her a tiny bit in a bottle or cup to see what she does with it. If she is suspectable to it, give her more and more cow`s milk and take away the formula gradually. Maybe one bottle every few days to a week. I`ve heard of people mixing the formula with cows milk but i don`t want to do that.

From about 10 months on i wasusing cow`s milk in cereals to introduce it, then when she was a year old she was tolerating it well enough that i just started giving her some in a bottle/cup.

gradual is best. Its easier on their tummy. Every week or two depending on how they do, increase the cows milk by 1 ounce while reducing the formula 1 ounce. For example, for an 8 ounce bottle, do 7 ounces formula with 1 ounce of cows milk.....then 2 ounces of cows milk with 6 ounces of formula and so on until they are totally on cows milk.

Forgot to add my LO is nearly 13mnths and has been having normal milk since 6+mnths with cereals/foods but I don`t know whether to just pull her straight off it in one go(so she isnt confused by tastes) or gradually like do one bottle with formula then her bed bottle with normal milk?? Ur experiences please.............

12 months is recommended age. I did it just after because my husband wanted to wait but some do it earlier. If you finished a tub when your childs about 11months I would consider it then. I went for straight switch whereas some people mix for a little while first.

  1. Thanks to my twin`s ability to trek down here, my records are straightened out! I will be having my first appointment on February 29th. I will be 10 weeks-ish. Around here that is about when they want to see you. When did you get your first appointment?
  2. What do you think is better (or worse) for kids? TV or video games?
  3. I`m interesed in getting an innotab for my kids. Are the extra downloads pricey? How is the product as a whole?
  4. Thought they were fixing the problem with the profiles? Mine is now starting to disappear and most of my friends profiles are gone. Is it getting fixed or what because its more than a joke at the moment. Maybe its the ads causing the problems because its the only thing that seems to stay when the profiles disappear.
  5. If you had a `favourable` cervix (started to dilate and soft) did a membrane sweep work for you?
  6. Should I buy my sister a Belly Bandit for her shower? She said that is what she wanted when I asked. I just have a hard time spending that much money on some thing she might niot like. Especially because it was me who put the dumb :) idea in her head!! I bought and used one for three out of my four and loved it...but is it for everyone? Or should I throw down the money to something more practical?
  7. Are your children exposed to two hours or less of TV per day? (This includes when your shows are on and they are awake and around at the same time in the same room)

  8. Just finished making a birthday cake for the first time from our baby girl for her daddys bday tomorrow :o)
  9. Extension of last Valentine question..I should clarify that we are having V-day dinner tomorrow alone but still just the fact that he bought our gifts at the same time at the same place bugs the s-it out of me. He knows I like plants and I`m pretty sure he went to a nice nursey and got me one but the fact is he told me he got his mom a small little plant. OMG I fee like I total b-tch but I feel like telling him I know what he probably got me and I do not want anything that you are giving your mom!! But then he wopuld know I snooped and saw where he went on our checking account.
  10. O.k I know this is a off the wall question..Is it weird and selfish of me to be annoyed that my husband has is giving his mom a Vanetine gift and card tonight when she comes over and wants to give me mine too today? I know I`m probably being sensitive and I feel bad that I made the comment `if you give me the same thing as your mom I`m gonna cry`. He said I should`nt ruin the surprise and I told him I was sorry but I just wanted our Valentines seperate because everything includes his family and it`s a day for lovers. Am I....
