onesharpefamily (119 days ago) Right before my daughter turned 1 (like a week before), we graduated up to the toddler formula that is milk-based to get her tummy used to it. Then, she was on that for about a week or so. We wanted to wean her off of formula and the bottle at 1, so we started giving her milk in a sippy cup...everything was a sippy cup. She did have diahrea (sp?) a few times, even now she still gets runny poop sometimes if she has WAY too much milk in a day.
pooka (119 days ago) sweety i had good luck with the walmart toddler supplement called Parents choice. My son likes it way better then enfamile kind. Its just 1-2 cups a day for all their recommended vitamins etc. Then I just give my son (15 months) milk on like his cereal and he gets yogurts and cheese etc.
sweety198622 (119 days ago) Im thinking ill switch over at 1 year(dd is 6 months old now) but im still gonna give her a bottle of toddler formula just to be sure she gets all her vitamins in.:-)
excitedmama (119.1 days ago) We introduced whole milk at 1 year and just put it in a sippy cup. He adjusted just fine and also took it in his bottle until 15 months when we weaned him off that. It really wasn`t too tough at all. Good luck:)
angie2008 (119.1 days ago) I would try to just give her a tiny bit in a bottle or cup to see what she does with it. If she is suspectable to it, give her more and more cow`s milk and take away the formula gradually. Maybe one bottle every few days to a week. I`ve heard of people mixing the formula with cows milk but i don`t want to do that.
michaela (119.1 days ago) From about 10 months on i wasusing cow`s milk in cereals to introduce it, then when she was a year old she was tolerating it well enough that i just started giving her some in a bottle/cup.
mamacakes (119.1 days ago) gradual is best. Its easier on their tummy. Every week or two depending on how they do, increase the cows milk by 1 ounce while reducing the formula 1 ounce. For example, for an 8 ounce bottle, do 7 ounces formula with 1 ounce of cows milk.....then 2 ounces of cows milk with 6 ounces of formula and so on until they are totally on cows milk.
bethk (119.2 days ago) Forgot to add my LO is nearly 13mnths and has been having normal milk since 6+mnths with cereals/foods but I don`t know whether to just pull her straight off it in one go(so she isnt confused by tastes) or gradually like do one bottle with formula then her bed bottle with normal milk?? Ur experiences please.............
Sarah M (119.2 days ago) 12 months is recommended age. I did it just after because my husband wanted to wait but some do it earlier. If you finished a tub when your childs about 11months I would consider it then. I went for straight switch whereas some people mix for a little while first.
