My boss does this all the time!!!!! His office is right next to mine, and at least 4 times a week I hear him talking to the senators secratary or whatever asking about `the senators view on this that or the other..LoL.

I used to work for legislators so I definitely know how to. Just realize that if you`re going to do it mass produced mailers and chain emails are generally disregarded. Also stick to the issues that really matter to you. If you comment on every single issue people begin to wonder if you don`t have anything better to do.
