I met Chris, from a friend, who grew up in the same town as me, but moved away because of the airforce, I moved away to the same town as this friend with a family i was a nanny for, This friend invited me to a BBQ, i met another guy there we started dating for 3 month when i realised he wasn`t for me, we were having problems and his room-mate Chris started messaging me, and the night i broke up with This guy Chris kissed me and we have been together joined at the hip the entire time, Chris had to move out and find another room-mate as my ex hated both of us once he found out that we got together. It`s been nearly 3 years, we now are engaged and have a 9 month old baby.

funny story - I already posted that I met my man online. My parents met at a dry-cleaner where my mom worked part-time while in highschool (17 years old). My dad was 10 years older and was in the Army stationed where my mom lived. He would bring in one of his army shirts one each day and would say on occasion that a button was broken and would claim their machine at the dry-cleaner was smashing his buttons and would have them fix the shirts. Eventually he would go in and help her hang shirts while at work. She was forbidden to date him because he was an unlisted man (and her father was an colonel (officer)) and he was catholic and she was methodist - and the age difference too. They would sneak around and eventually had to elope. When she went to the school to get her stuff, the principal called her father to tell him that my mom had gotten married. Her father made her have an army military escort and had 1 hour to remove all of her belongings from her parents home. My mom`s father made sure orders for him to be transferred to Germany arrived and he had to leave within 4 days of being married. She finished high school with her biological mother who lived in another state. AND got pregnant within those 4 day of being married before he left for Germany! They`ve been happily married 47 years and have 5 kids....there are other details that make the story interesting, but don`t wanna type too much.

I was friends with Rob, my now brother-n-law, in college. I didnt know that he wanted to introduce me to his brother, but one night a bunch of us went out to this bar, and Ed (Rob`s brother and my now DH) was there. I was going on 22, and Ed was almost 30. Unfortunately, Ed was drunk, and did not quite make the greatest impression on me, to say the least. I knew he liked me, but he showed it like a little boy does - I think he told me my skirt was stupid or something. It`s kind of funny now. My friend Rob (his brother) drove me home and tried to feel out how I felt about Ed - he said something about his brother thinking I was cute, and I said something about thinking his brother was a bit of an idiot. Well, Rob let the issue drop, but several months later (and one quick and bad relationship on my end just over) I met up with Rob and a bunch of his friends for a ball game. Rob manuevered it so Ed and I would be sitting together, and this time, we hit it off - we were talking and laughing the entire time. That was in Sept of 2000 - so it`s almost 9yrs later, and we`re still going strong (and are quite grateful to my bro-in-law)

we lived across the road from each other for a few years, but with him being younger than me i never thought of him as more as a friend, until my previous relationship failed, steve was 17 and was amazing, he became my best friend, always there to talk to, make me smile, help with the kids and 1 day i realised i loved him, he had told me already how he felt but i pushed to 1 side as i just thought it wasnt possible, but when we finally got together it was magic, and now three years and 1 day later i love him to bits x x

Aww great stories... As for me I met dh because of my mom lol I was 16 and had been gone a week since I went on vacation so when I got back me my mom brother and sis in law were all in the kitchen talking when my mom goes a really cute guy just moved in next door you should hurry up and claim him I just brushe her off lol a few days later my sis in law tricked me into going over there for a party we got introduced hit it off exchanged numbers he called a few days later (typical lol) went out and were inseperable ever since we moved in together a year later 2 months b4 I graduated high school and 6 years later here we are with two amazing kids so thanx mom lol btw she helped his roomate get the apartment....

I met my hubby anth at our local youth club i was 14 and he was 17. i chased him like a dog on heat lol, looking back i was totally besotted with him. Never thought we would get together as he played hard to get for while but hey he eventually gave up chase and we have now been together for 17 years and married for 13

We met in an AOL chat room 6.5 years ago. I knew within minutes that I was going to fall for him. I was actually living with another guy at the time but that relationship was already pretty much over and we were more just living together as friends and sharing rent by then. We spent a long time long distance and have been through things that I can`t believe we got through. I moved to New York in March 2007 and got pregnant the following January. I`m glad that so many of you guys met online too, I`m usually embarrassed to tell people that.

Ha ha Armymom I thought I`d be the only one to say this but on myspace!! I usually didn`t add people I didn`t know. He added me as a friend I didn`t think I knew him but he was from my town so I looked at his profile and on his top friends was a guy I had known for years so I though maybe he introduced me to him and I just don`t remember so I accepted his invite. We chatted for a few weeks then one night we were chatting late , about midnight and he said well since your up and I`m up why don`t we meet. Like a big dumby I told him to come to my house, I lived alone! I was in my pj`s, sweats, and looked like shit I thought about changing but I though if he likes me like this then he`ll like me like anything! When he came to the door the first thing he said was `wow you look even better in person!` He literaly had me from hello!lol! We spent just about every minute together from then on. That was May 2006 got engaged July 2007 and getting married jan 2010. Whats really funny is later on I told himI added him because of ourmutualfrien and he told me thathe didn`t know me from him that he was just browsing people and saw my pic and decided to message me! He was so lucky I added him! I guess it was just one of those ment to be things.

on myspace. I had just moved out of the house and on my own to Houston, TX. It was funny cause I had forgotten I`d even given my number to him... we had been chatting back in forth for a couple weeks and like a true `cool guy` took my number and didn`t call me right away. Well I`d forgotten about him. I went out with some friends the night before he called and I met a guy. Well my now-husband called the morning after my big night out and the whole time I thought it was the guy I`d met the night before. LOL.. I was going on and on about details from the night before and he sounded really confused about what I was talking about. Anyways, we figured it out and talked for a couple days and decided to go on a date. He took me to The Cheesecake Factory and from that night on we were attached by the hip.. seriously, every spare moment was spent together. We met in May 2005, engaged by September 2005, and married July 2006. And there you have it. =)

At the club in Mississippi, where we were stationed. He was drunk on the dance floor, I went up to him and started grinding on him...(dirty dancing). 3 months later we married...very romantic huh. we now joke that the song "slow motion" by Juvenile ( a very dirty sleezy song) is OUR song, because it's the song I danced with him to. We'll play it our the re-newal of our vows. ~Looks like he turned a ho into a housewife. LoL. No, i'm not that bad, I was only 19, having a good time.

Embarressing to admit but we met at a place called The Electric Cowboy...lol. This was not a place either of us would typically go so it`s funny that`s where we met. I was so sick of the bar scene so totally surprised I met an AWESOME man! Recently we were asked at church how we met and we kind of lied. WE just couldn`t say the Electric Cowboy at church...lol.

we met at work. he was my manager. my first day and the first time we met there was just something instant there. we would talk and flirt all day. Neither of us thought anything of it. he`s 11yrs older than me so he thought it would never happen...and i had a bf i was living with so i just didnt even think about it. sure enough we grew closer and closer and we ended up having a make out session at work. i was hooked instantly. i moved out of my bf`s house and we broke up and it has been mike and i ever since. still very much in love to this day.

I meet DBF when I was 14 and he was 18 lol... My friend knew him first. I only use to speak to him on the phone and I thought and heard he was cute. so I snd him a pic of me via email and he thought I was cute as well. then we meet up one day with a couple of friends and we became friends for about a year and then jan 10, 2005 we became official boyfriend and girlfriend. 5.5 years later and a baby and we are still together.

I was working as a housekeeper and he was working at the Burger King a couple doors down from the hotel. I came in to pick up breakfast one morning before going into work and Jack took my order. When I got to work I found a piece of paper with his number on it tucked in there. Believe it or not, I didn`t call him. I was a single mother with 2 children at the time and was afraid he was just some kid looking for a piece of ass. A few months go by and go to visit my friend Trish. She tells me about a room mate who moved in with her a few weeks ago. The room mate comes out and it was him! We got to know each other and became friends. We were friends for about 5 years and during that time I had moved to TN for 15 months and lost touch with him and Trish. When I came back to Fl I got back in touch with Trish and she got me back in touch with Jack. The three of us went to go hang out one night and it was there on the beach that Jack confessed to me that he had secretely been in love me for some time now and I confessed to him that I had been seceretely in love with him too. The rest is history after that! :)

I hit the `random spin` option where the computer matches you with someone.... and POOF... there he was. It was New Years Eve the first time we chatted thru IM. Here we are 3 years later. :) Thats a story for the grandchildren huh? LOL. Definitley a `modern` love story.

Lol, we are both in the air force, and some of my good friends were his good friends, but somehow we just never met. Then he came to MY friends b-day party, I was drunk and came back from the bathroom and he had taken my seat by the firepit. I told him he hadn`t been invited and to get out of my chair, he told me Jeff and CJ invited him and I could sit on his lap! Lol, at the end of the night (both of us very intoxicated) he said he would come pick me up from my dorm to see a movie the next day. I thought, yea, sure, like your really going to remember... Well, 4pm the next day I was still snoozing and when he knocked I answered the door in a tee shirt with my hair all frized out and my BCGs on (military issue `birth control glasses`). I was showered and dressed in 10 min, saw a great movie and knew I had found a great guy! We`ve been married 3+ yrs and the rest is history.

it was my friend`s b-day (3 yrs ago) and she invited her 2 brothers to come along...a few of our friends came along also..we all went out clubbing...1 of her brothers (my man now) started coming out with us more often and we started getting closer..so one night when we all went out, me and him were dancing and kissed...and it all started from there..we got togther 1 month after i first met him...now he is the love of my life...

A friend of mine and I were gonna hit Chester where we cruised...and we saw a few guys standing at the corner which was a Rally`s burgers at the time...so we threw our hands up like `whats up`. I said ohhh I like the way that guy is dressed hehehe that would be my now husband. So we went back my friend was trying to talk to him and he ended up asking for my number so I gave it to him...jacked up huh???lol. Twelve years later and were still going strong.

My friend was actually dating him on and off(he went to a different school, so I didn`t know him). She took him to prom, I went with a friend. We met, danced one dance and that was that. A few weeks later he called me and asked me out. I was 3 weeks shy of my 16th birthday (I couldn`t date until I was 16). We had our first date on my 16th birthday and we have been together ever since. We have been together for 13 years and married for 8! p.s. my friend didn`t mind that we got together.

Online with mIRC. Me, him, and a whole slew of other teens would gather in one chatroom and talk pretty much every night. We were both 16 when the group began, started dating (long distance) at 18. I somehow convinced my parents to let him move in with us when we were 21 until he could get a job in the area and we could get an apartment. Got married at 22, and now we are both 29 :) We still chat with nearly every original person from that chatroom, amazing how we all kept in touch.

I was 18 and he was 20. My cousin had gone to school with him and i was actually there for his high school graduation. I didnt meet him that night and the only reason i remember him is bc he drop his cap when he walked across the stage. My cousin and i were out with friends for the night and we ran into him with some of his friends. She introduced us and we all went back to my place to watch movies. The rest is history!!
