i`m 37 weeks and am going through the same thing. i`m having a very hard time imaging her outside my belly being a real person. i even got to `see` her today with an ultreasound but it seemed ditorted because she`s so squished in there and her hand was in front of her face most of the time. 13 more days til i really get to see her.

My little guy looks just like my husband. It`s uncanny. Pull out your old baby pictures. I remember I couldn`t image what he would look like now I look at him and I couldn`t imagine him looking any different. Such a little happy love.

i was actually thinking about this today...i mean i always think of what my baby will look like, but i was thinking about how i don`t quite know what to picture! i wonder if she`ll look like her brother or if she`ll look like me, since my son is a spitting image of my husband. once i saw my son for the first time though, it was like all that wondering suddenly disappeared. i am really looking forward to just seeing my child for the first time....it`s something you just don`t ever forget!

ive had 5 babies. and each pregnancy i was the same way. i even used to sit there and stare at my stomach and tried to picture that there was actually a human being beneath my skin!

OH I`m also with nutnut - second time around I thought my sons would look alike because their bone structure was very similar in the ultrasounds! I compared ultrasounds and the similarites were amazing! They do have alot of similar features but they have alot of differences too.

same way...couldnt actually picture a real face, and now that he is here i still cant imagine that he was in my belly and looked like he does now..i dont know its hard to explain...lol

i tried really hard to picture a face all the time...I really thought about it constantly!! It was so weird that a little face was inside my tummy lol and I could touch it but not see it..if that makes sense? Well, he looked nothing like I envisioned..I thought he would be dark with alot of hair..and he was very light with light brown hair.

i keep thinking this baby will look like my daughter. i know its silly but on the u/s picture though its just the side view and its realy early its bone structure looks identitical to my daughter`s u/s picture. its not any high tech u/s either. not 3d or 4d or anything. so maybe im crazy but im thinking its bone structure is that of my daughter then the two will look alike somewhat, even if they have different color eyes. chances are they will have the same hair color bc the father and i have the same exact hair it uncanny. i have blue eyes he has light brown eyes, and so does my daughter.

i had a dream about my baby once. She had dark brown hair, dark skin, green eyes and was very very beautiful. My daughter looks nothing like that. Blonde hair, light skin, bue eyes. Still very gorgeous though.
