t555rm (926.6 days ago) Just steam them until cooked but not overdone, mash and serve! In fact my son had steamed carrots mashed with cooked lentils and rice for lunch today. Altho they say no seasonings until babies are a year old I always add a pinch of salt to his food.
kelly.m (926.7 days ago) steam with the skins on, the skin has most of the nutrients that your really looking for, add to some potato or sweet potato and blitz. personally i would never se a microwave as i carries on cooking and can burn baby from inside out. bain marie cook is the safest way!!! good luck hun xx
lovemyfamily (926.7 days ago) I don`t boil any food I feed to my daughter as it removes most of the good nutrients from it! I steam or bake everything!
nutnut (926.8 days ago) you have to boil them until they are soft just like when you would make mashed potatoes, then mash them up really good. the softer the better, but you dont want them boiled to the point wehre they are completly mushy and watery. but they should be pretty soft for baby. food processor would probably work. ive never made baby food, but im pretty sure this is how to do it when the carrots are fresh and raw. if they were canned i would say mash, heat, stir. =)
