I have the opp. my dog LOVES the baby too much!! Always trying to give kisses. She is a 100 lb german shepherd. He gets scared once in a while and when he cries she kiss him and goes away. This is a really hard choice and no clear option. I would get a trainer and try to work with the dog! If not then that is a danger to you baby and you should rehome the dog! =( Its probably a jealousy issue . Some dont h\just can not get along with children. We had a dog when I was a child and I was playing with her outside and my mom saw the dog going form my neck a few times. The dog so gone the next day!! Child always comes first. But please try everything before you rehome your dog. I see alot of people on craigslist just getting rid of their pets b/c they are Pregnant, ( which pisses me off) But if the dog is dangerous around kids then the dog has to go to a home with no kids. I`d get a GOOD trainer on the phone. Have him/her come out to see how the dog is around the baby in all situations, then go from there with their recommendations.

ive never been much of an animal person and i dont trust dogs around small kid cuz i was bit in the face as a child. i would prolly get rid of the dog cuz a small child doesnt know to not pull on it or poke it in the eye and a dog can only growl or bite to say hey ur hurting me.

I`d get rid of him sorry -- I`ve heard too many terrible stories about `good` dogs lashing out at babies resulting in injury or death. I wouldn`t take a chance ..next time it could be a bite. Don`t put your baby at that kind or risk :(

I don`t trust anything with teeth, sorry. If our dog showed any sign of being disturbed by the baby she would have to go. As much as they are parts of peoples families, they are still animals. I was attacked and bit by someones dog who got loose when I was 7mo pg with my second son. The owners said their dog would never do anything like that, lol! I wasn`t doing anything but walking up to my porch carrying my oldest son who was 2 at the time. I still have scars..... I`m just saying no one knows what an animal will or won`t do. I still love dogs, we have one, but like I said, I don`t trust anything with teeth, lol!

My dog is fine with our daughter but lately she has been barking and growling at other children (which is a problem because I have a fair few friends with children) I don`t know if she is being protective or just being jealous as much as it would pain me and I am sure my husband and my daughter I can`t have a dog with a risk like that because you don`t know if it will be your child or even someone else`s next. I am going to give her a little go and see what happens but if she keeps doing it we will have to get rid of her.

It depends why he was growling.Was she playing with him or maybe hurting him?a dog cant say `hey ur hurting me`,but if he is just jealous id get rid of the dog.
