Name-poll poll does anyone else think boy names are harder to pick than girl names
(Name poll by hannahe, 926 days ago)
no, boy names are way easier
they are about the same
yes! boy names are impossible, they are either too common, too weird, or all the good ones are taken
try these boy names!

Yes,boy names are harder to pick!! When I found out I was prego I thought of about 4 girl nanes(first and middle) but when I had my ultrasound at 20 weeks I found out I was havind a boy! He`s a week old now, but I didn`t decide on a name for him for sure right up untill my due date!

I am dealing with this right now too! I had a girl name picked (a few actually) and I`m having a son!! I keep going back and forth on a couple but MAN I`m having the hardest time. UGH!!

I have three boys and each time we had one boy name choice. Girls names i have the worst time with, luckly i don`t seem to make girls. My boys are Sylis, Xavier and Liam.

I agree....I thought choosing a boy`s name was way harder! I knew girl names I would have picked, but I knew I wasn`t having a girl, so it didn`t matter...However, now that I am having a girl, I tend to find boy names I like now. I`ll hear or see a nice boy`s name and think....hmmm...that`d be a good name if I were having a boy....So I am having a hard time with a girl`s name too....but boy`s names were definitely harder for me!

I know exactly what you mean! We have two picked out now that we can`t choose from, they are pretty common, but being less used thanks to all the Aiden, Cayden, Braydens out there lol.

Before we knew we were having a girl we had a list of names...like 10 girls names and maybe 1 boys name we kind of liked! We`ve already started thinking about boys names for the next baby and we`re not even pregnant yet, lol :) just in case!

I`ve had my girl name picked out for years and then I got pregnant with a boy who we obviously found a name for.. but it was hard choosing and I`m keeping my other boy name a secret cause I`m scared of someone stealing it. lol But yes, I have to agree.. boy names are totally harder to choose.

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
