I am currently at 36 weeks and measured 30 weeks at my appointment.. My doctor is not concerned because he knows the baby is growing. At my 34 week appointment, I measured 27 weeks and 2 weeks later measured 30 so he knows the baby has grown. He didn`t seem too concerned. So I wouldn`t worry at all- 3 cm isn`t anything to be worried about.

I always measured small at the end of my pregnacies. My smallest baby was 6`11` and largest was 8`5` so it turned out ok with all of them.

You measure less towards the end as the baby drops down... so takes up less space. x

i always measured 2 wks behind with my daugher but there are some things that happen with a sudden lag, did you drop? if the baby has dropped it will cause a smaller measurement. you may be leaking fluid and being 38 wks you are fine to deliver... a growth scan wont hurt but i bet all is fine!

i was measuring small my whole pregnancy. My last dating scan said that the baby dropped under the 10% in size so i had to be induced at 37 weeks because they thought I had IUGR. They said he would be under 5lbs. LOL- But he was born a heathly 7lbs 2oz, and that was with being 3 weeks early. I wouldn`t worry. Everything is done by averages, you are prob just on the smaller side like me.

oh yay, thanks, that makes me feel abit better, everyone always telling me how small i am, it starts getting on ya nerves after awhile!!!

I did. I measured right on up until 36 weeks when I started measuring at 35 weeks. My last check at 40 weeks I was still measuring at 35. My little boy was just born and was a normal size.
