I think you should go for it in Spain, there is a website think its called mumsinspain.com and alot of my friends in spain who are mums are members they can give u their views and accounts of the maternity info and their birth stories, but from what I hear it is very good and they`re even very accommodating with english speaking mums-to-be. So far as citizenship is concerned - great idea (although I`m guessing both are part of the European Union?!) A friend of mine had an Australian mother, Scottish father and was born in the US! She hit the jackpot there! ;)
