If the baby was a girl, Then maybe I could see a second shower. But usually it is one shower total. Other then that it seems greedy. UNLESS it has been YEARS btwn babies

I would suggest having a `pampers` shower. This way everyone bring diapers - always a needed item, and they can be exchanged at Walmart for differnt sizes if you get one of to many of the same stages. I think having another traditional baby shower so soon might be a bit much.

Sorry, but I wouldn`t go to a 2nd baby shower in a year and a half, even if it was a diaper shower or I was told I didn`t have to bring a gift. I`ve never even heard of anyone doing that. What you could do is have a `meet the baby` party and your mom could throw that. People will most likely bring gifts and it`s not a traditional baby shower. Personally I would find that more acceptable :)

if youre that concerned what ppl will think or whatever, you can just have mom tell them that you basically already have everything you need from the first baby, so if they wanted to give any gifts they could always do gift certificates or maybe they dont need to bring a gift at all. also keep in mind ultrasounds have been wrong about what sex the baby is. its not a dna test its a tech looking at the anatomy. they could make a mistake. i wouldnt even worry too much. most ppl understand that new babies need new things, while maybe you already have a crib, you will probably need a second high chair, you probably will still need more bottles, more diapers, things like that. i dont think its horrible to have another baby shower. you can always mention that you already have some of the larger items from the first.
