Lookalike (918.8 days ago) I wouldn`t use bleach because the residue is toxic so you`re trading in germs for chemicals. If it`s dishwasher safe, run it through the dishwasher or use a little peroxide to wipe it down. The clorox commercials really irk me because they suggest sanitizing baby toys and bottles in bleach solutions. It also really irritates me when they do the `which sock is whiter` commercial. I just want to respond with `you mean, which one released toxic chemicals into the environment just so your sock can be a little whiter?` If you`re ever worried about sanitizing clothes, the heat in the dryer kills the germs better than bleach anyway.
hunnybunnysmama (919.3 days ago) maybe run them thru the dishwasher if they seem durable enough...
pooka (919.4 days ago) I use natural teatree oil products. Bleach is one of two ingredients that when mixed causes toxic gas, like mustard gas. Ammonia is the other. There are some countries you actually need a permit to buy it. Its nasty stuff!!!
KR (919.5 days ago) i think its a half cup bleach with a litre of water (?? cant remember the measurements) leave them in the sink!
leelers (919.5 days ago) I would say not to use bleach, the baby is going to put those toys right in his/her mouth and I wouldn`t want my baby sucking on bleach, even if it`s diluted. There is a liquid that is a natural antibacterial called grapefruit seed extract that is safe to use on anything around the house. I would dilute the grapefuit seed extract with water and soak the toys. You can find it at most natural food stores like Whole Foods or any vitamin store would have it too I`m sure. Hope this helps! :)
