I`ve heard more about timing, rather than positioning. I first heard about it from my mom, actually, pertaining to me. It worked for my parents when they tried for a girl, after having my two older brothers. :-) Hus. and I didn`t try specifically for either gender, but based on conception we figured girl, and got a girl.

Well, we tried for a boy based on the life span of the boy sperm.

kadesmomma-Well the chinese calendar is only correct 50% of the time, according to this website I read and other women I talked to who said it was totally wrong for them. I`ve read online (actual medical studies not just gender prediction websites) and asked my doctor out of curiosity and both said its pretty difficult to do, but the closest to accurate is what hannahe said. Supposedly, the sperm carrying boy genes swim on up there faster, but also die faster, so to have sex as close as possible to ovulation if trying for a boy, and girls are a little bit slower, but live longer so to try a few days before ovulation for a girl. Hey, even girl sperm live longer than men, just like women live longer than men, what a coincidence! ;) oh and btw, I`ve heard that other docs have told women this too, so I`m pretty sure professionals find it true, BUT I haven`t actually talked to any moms / pregnant women about if it was true for them. I know what day I ovulated the month I conceived, but I got lucky with the SO quite a few times in those 3 or 4 days so I can`t tell ya which time it was that made me preggo.

i guess basically it says that if you know your ovulation timing if you have sex up to 3 days before you ovulate then stop you should have a girl cuz the girl sperm live longer whereas boy sperms are faster so they increase the chance of a boy if you have sex close to your ovulation date....supposedly
