i`ve seen it done. not easily. but done. it takes lots of latching practice and patience with all three of you. i strongly encourage getting advice firsthand from a mother who actually breastfeeds twins than one who bottlefeeds. i strongly applaud you for your yearn to breastfeed them both considering the obstacle! that`s awesome! i`m a bf nazi and moms like you totally rock! and i believe you CAN co-feed them with enough practice (which I`m sure you will get plenty of, my dear). i hope it is easy for you quickly after birth! i`m so excited for you!!

I never BF my twins, but I belong to twins clubs and know several mothers of twins...some of which have tried BF. The ones that had the greatest success with it say that they did not tandem/co feed. Rather they would feed one baby on one breast and then feed the next baby on the other breast roughly 30 minutes later. Whether you are bottle or BF twins, it takes about 1 hour to complete one feeding (at least in the beginning). I do not know if they ended co-feeding down the line, but in the beginning this was how it was done. Which I guess makes snse, because when you are home alone with two newborns, you cannot get them both positioned on you or on a nursing pillow by yourself. It`s hard to even pick them both up in the beginning, people end up handing them to you one at a time. When they are still small you would need help manipulating them. And help isn`t always around! Good luck to you :o)
