jessica (912.6 days ago) Stride Rite is what i used on my daughter and she loved them
sgtoodles (912.7 days ago) We found Shoo Shoes and they are great for learning to walk. THey come in soft soles like Robeez and also rubber soles. My son has wide feet too and they fit great! they are flexible and easy to put on/off. THey are also cheaper than most Robeez or Pedipeds.
angie2008 (912.8 days ago) i would go with the robeez because they only really need to protect from the weather and concrete. Stride Rite or Ollie`s shoes for kids have good shoes that are good for beginners. Make sure the soles are really really flexible and do not restrict the feet from movement at all.
abbyquiet (912.8 days ago) my son has wide feet too, lol, big wide feet. maybe he`ll be a swimmer when he grows up, with those paddles. but anyways, he wears the converse high tops. they`re kind of hard to put on till you get the hang of it. but they seem to fit his feet well. and he can walk in them, and because they`re tie up shoes, they dont seem to fall off as easily, every other shoe i`ve tried to put on his feet fall right off. pain in the butt. however, he only wears shoes when we`re going out AND i think he might want to walk around. which is unusual. we try to just keep in him in socks.
amber325 (912.8 days ago) they recommend no shoes now days which I find odd B/c everyone I heard of generations prior almost all walked round 11 months! with shoes! now days kids dont walk til later on...I say put shoes on him. Olivia just started wearing shoes
RobinG (912.8 days ago) None :) Walking is best learned with bare feet or non slip socks ~ my oldest has major feet issues and had orthodics and my youngest is mild autistic and struggled with walking alot and docs have all said tots shouldnt wear shoes til they are already walking. Hunter did have any shoes will he was walking for over a month. He wore slippers alot when cold.
13yearsapart (912.8 days ago) `Stride Rite` are great shoes for beginners and up!
