My daughter has a ton of hair. I bathe her about 3 times a day in the summer, because 1. it`s hot and 2. she practices BLW and makes a mess of herself. I wash her hair only every second day though.

Every other day :) Healthier for skin and hair :)

Everyday to get whatever we had for dinner out of it. She is a messy eater.

I bathe my baby every other day and wash his har each time I bathe him. It isn`t good to wash the hair everyday because it takes too much of the natural oils out of the scalp, it can cause dry scalp, cry hair, and itchiness, this is what my mother told me (about all people in general not just babies) She is a cosmetologist and i guess she learned this in school, so i wash my hair every other day also. But if he is very messy with food or sweaty or something then I would have to wash his hair lol

I have to give my lo a bath everyday, and I do wash his hair while in there. He is crawling, standing, and eating solids. He would be a complete mess if I didn`t. When he has food up to his elbows and in his hair a wet rag just doesn`t cut it for me. I use Baby Magic Hair & Body Wash to wash him, Baby Magic lotion and Baby Love hair mouisterizer (he`s mixed and his hair is soooo curly. It gets all dry and frizzy if I don`t put anything in it! Its made for babies and toddler though.) after his bath. Thats what works for us! I don`t see any reason to not wash their hair everyday. I don`t wash my dd hair everyday though, shes 4 next month, only about 1x a week. I guess it depends on the baby.

I give Grace a bath every other day and wash her hair every time she takes a bath. We do it every other day because her skin dries out really easily and out of connivence too, it fits better in our schedule.

she does actually have hair if that makes a difference...

nutnut (912.6 days ago)
my daughter was pretty much bald. i used a wash cloth on her hair every time i gave her a bath. so i guess that counts as washing her hair i dunno lol.

i was just wondering. i do bathe my daughter everyday and i wash her hair every day with shampoo, i guess maybe out of habit, but is there any reason why i shouldnt wash her hair every day?

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
