alijo (911 days ago) I think I will be honest, at least that is what I plan on doing, though I guess it would depend somewhat on the circumstances too.
happyforest (911.1 days ago) yes of course. better that they hear it from me, who will give it honestly and has expierenced consequences, than for them to get curious but only get info from their peers who are young and stupid bc they were to afraid to ask their parents.
abbyquiet (911.1 days ago) i worry about it all the time, and i figure i`ll know when i get to that point. it was so bad for a while, when i got pregnant i was basically living on the streets and using drugs. as soon as i found out i was pregnant i moved out of the state and away from that life and started over with my parents. i would hope to be able to be honest, but it was SO bad, i dont know.
california-mom (911.1 days ago) I dont see a reason to tell my kids details of all my partying. It wont do any good. Ill simply let them know I wasnt born yesterday =)
5against1 (911.2 days ago) My older 2 are teenagers, and when they ask, Im very honest. Luckily, I didnt do very much drinking. And the only drug Ive ever done was pot. They also know allll the stories of my friends who OD`d and died while inhaling spray paint or doing hard drugs, drinkin n drivin, etc. And they also know of friends that have been locked up for drugs.
nutnut (911.2 days ago) no. i wouldnt want my child to know my past. i dont see how telling them would make a bit of difference anyway. im not going to lie to them either. im not big on drinking, and i don`t do drugs. ive seen it destroy too many people around me. i can only hope my kids are strong enough to lead not follow and to know not to get involved with these things. i will have to worry about it when the time comes.
bethk (911.2 days ago) I dont think Ill go to the extent that I did and not go into too much detail but if my LO is going to b trouble then Ill use my experiences to hopefully put them off xx
