Peachy09 (94.2 days ago) Use the lotrimin - or just generic clotrimazole cream with every diaper change till it`s cleared up & then for another day or two. A large tube is like $5 at Walmart. It will take a day or so to visibly start working. If she`s really irritated rinse out the baby wipes in water before using them & get some cornstarch baby powder too! My DS doesn`t get a lot of diaper rashes, but I still use A&D cream with his overnight diaper & he gets the cornstarch baby powder with every diaper change at home just cuz.
alijo (94.7 days ago) Sounds like a yeast infection - when Xander had one and the doc just gave him a prescription cream and it cleared right up.
Mommy2Chloe (94.7 days ago) Yeah, it`s probably yeast. You can use over the counter Lotrimin AF for it. It`s for jock itch but works wonders on yeast rashes. (That`s what my doctor told me to use when my LO had yeast infection)
jennymomof3 (94.8 days ago) It`s probably turned into a yeast infection and needs a perscription cream for it. Poor baby, I hate it when my daughter got that. Oh and don`t use wipes use a warm cloth to clean her. It probably burns. And if you can let her go without a diaper after changing to air dry. The air really helps to heal it. Megandgrace is right the cream is called nystatin.
megandgrace (94.8 days ago) If there is white spots it is probably a yeast infection and you may need special cream. Try calling the doctor office first and speak to a nurse there may be an over the counter cream that you can use. Grace had gotten thrush once so they gave a ton of cream for her diaper rash from it and now i always use that when i see the white dots appearing and its gone the next day, its called nystatin.
