blondiex2 (905.5 days ago) My nephew did that at about the same age, around 20 months. He used to go and hide behind the recliner when he would go. My BIL started training him right then and now he`s fully potty trained. He just was showing a lot of signs in general, like he couldn`t stand wearing the diaper anymore, he would just freak out and I could barely get them on him anymore. So they decided that meant he was ready and started right away.

bluejeans (905.7 days ago) I waited to my son was ready I treid him at about 2 and he screamed and carried on like a mad man so I left it. Now he is 2 and a half and 2 weeks ago we woke up in the morning and his nappy feel off and he said I want to wee so I took him to the toilet and he has been going ever since to wee and poo with no problems. For the first week I was only getting 1 accident a day and after that H ehasnt had any. I talked about going to the toilet alot in front of him and too him so he always knew it was there. Oncehe started using the toliet you wouold think the child had won gold at the olympics with the amount of praise I gave him. Good luck
RowanSkysMom (905.9 days ago) My daughter hides behind furniture to poop also and so did my nephew, it`s a sign they want to be alone. I just started to really try and potty train my daughter. She wakes up dry every day so we go diaper free at night and go straight to the potty first thing in the morning. If she goes I say `you peed on the potty, you`re a big girl` so far it`s working. My friend also gave me an idea to give an M&M every time she goes. She does this with her son. Good luck.
