kimmarie (905 days ago) I would say hand foot and mouth disease too. My son got it at that age and it was a big deal...he cried so hard cause he couldn`t drink his bottle. The pain was to unbearable for him. That is actually how I got him off the bottle cause he couldn`t drink from it. I would still take him to the pediatrician.
shivon (905.2 days ago) i tell you there are so many germs going on in t day care,t kid puts toys in his mouth which has been in other kdis mouths then they touch food...really they sould wash t toys once every week and wash kids hands b4 eating, keeps things clean, and try thr best but you know how it goes with these places,if there taking care of t child well then i would worry.bath him well when he comes home but i think you sould mention it to them to b extra clean to try lol!if t blister doesnt go away after 2 days then go to t doctor.
kickboxerbaby (905.3 days ago) If he came home from daycare with them you should contact not only your pediatrician but also your child care provider. They may have already recieved a phone call from other parents and should have notified you imediately as to the situation. If they don`t know then they should since your child could give it to others. Both foot in mouth and thrush are contagous by contact and we all know how kids love putting things in their mouths.
butterblocksmom (905.3 days ago) Hand foot mouth...very contagious. Poor little kids...they get the blisters in their mouth and throat and it is super painful and they can bleed :(
luvbeingamom (905.3 days ago) Thrush would be my guess, but i would take him to the doc. The meds help! :-)
pooka (905.3 days ago) my son had hand-foot-mouth its not really a big deal.. usually goes away on its own if that is what ti is.. but watch for thrush he also got that from having the virus.
nutnut (905.4 days ago) i would go to the dr. asap. ive heard of hand-foot-mouth virus, but never have actually seen it. i would just schedule and appointment to be sure, and refrain from any spicy foods for now that might hurt him like nmck said, no tmoato sauce, ketchup that sort of thing .
nmck (905.4 days ago) Could be be Hand-Foot-Mouth Virus. It is VERY common in kids, especially during the warm months and they can pick it up anywhere. It often is later accompanied by a low fever and diarrhea. If it is, the only treatment is tylenol. Also, don`t feed him anything acidic like tomato sauce.
angie2008 (905.4 days ago) Maybe cold sores? Or maybe he ate some food that was too hot? Sounds like a possibility but I hope not.
