RobinG (903.7 days ago) We do our invites online through evite.com We include general gift ideas like what they are into and like etc but not a specific toy or over phone when people ask but not a formal registry. Birthday parties are only family in my family, with maybe a friend or two from school when they are older so they always ask what they want. We dont do formal kid parties.
nutnut (903.7 days ago) no bc to me its rude to tell people what to buy your child for their first birthday. (no offense to anyone who has used a wish list). when the child is older, its ok if auntie, or nana ask `what do you want for your birthday coming up?` and the child tell them, but right now its a bit presumptuous to have a wish list for your child. i would be put off by that. i would still get the baby a gift, but not from that list. i guess its whats acceptable with a persons individual family. i just personal dont like any of those lists, or registries. unless someone says to me `i dont have kids, what does the LO like?` i wont be making suggestions, thats assuming they will buy a gift. i dont like to assume.
mdbabyno1 (904 days ago) No, but I know some of my friends mentioned to me that it would have been easier to shop since they don`t have kids and didn`t know what to get her. I did one for Christmas last year and family bought off of it.
