The Duggars do not even compare to Octomom! She is Batsh!t crazy, and they are a nice, but slightly odd family. They are totally self sufficient. She is a nutcase.

im not sure good question...i cant stand them any more than i can octomom!! what a great life those children have, being parents to their younger siblings and not even having their own childhood....

I havent been paying much attention to this `octo mom` but from what I have heard, the difference is responsability. The Duggers`s home can fit there children, they all get attention, they all get fed, nurtured, cared for. They have NO debt, they live every aspect of there lives responsibly. Personally I can`t see how each child can possibly be totally okay with the amount of attention they get or don`t get. It looks like the octo mom can`t afford one child let alone... however many it is she has all together, she doesent see mentally stable, no partner, nor does she want one... yea just not a responsable person. That`s what I see anyways.

Seriously? Wellllllll...octomom does not and has not had a job. She used money from a lawsuit she filed to have invitro done and had 6 kids. With no job, no home and no significant other. She lived with her parents, who have taken care of the kids and provided her with a home, yet she obviously has no love or respect for them. THEN..as if that wasn`t bad enough, she went out and somehow got plastic surgery procedures (versus providing a home for her kids) and THEN without a sig other and lying to her parents, went out and got invitro again intentionally having 8 more babies. It`s disgusting, really. It`s selfish. I believe she had all these babies for the attention and as a means to support herself though the media. I mean...her kids don`t even like her. Have you seen the interview where one of her three year olds hits her in the face and calls her a bitch? Geez. The duggers love and care for their kids as a couple and yes, they have many kids but they managed to support them well before the cameras started rolling. The difference is obvious.

multiple reasons as others have already said. she has multiple children but only has the eight she just had stayin with her. the other six are at her moms house. she is on welfare. she is single and getting artifically inceminated (sp) without any spousal support or income.

i dont think they deserve the backlash but i do think they need to quit having babies already! poor thing been pregnant for wayyyyy too much of her life! the mom michelle is pregnant again with number 19 due in march.. while her grandchild is due in october!!!

Probably several factors: it`s not one person raising all the children, they didn`t have several at once, their belief, no debt...blah blah blah
