Lasagna, manicotti, shepards pie, irish stew in the crock pot, chicken stirfry, wow, we try not to eat the same thing too often, and every weekend we pull out a cook book and pick something new to make (we have alot of cook books!).

chicken noodle soup in the slow cooker, pot roast in the slow cooker jsut throw in taters and veggies and meat set it on low all day long and you have a meal ready to eat when you get home! sometimes we make chicken and shrimp stir fry in the electric wok. its easy. olive oil, chicken, shrimp, bag of frozen veggies (asian or whatever you like) brown up the chicken first, then add the shrimp and veggies (shrimp need to already be cleaned, cooked and peeled before you put them in. i buy them this way already frozen. i run them under water to thaw prior to heating) just cook until everything is heated through and veggies are as soft as you desire (some like crunchy veggies, we like them a bit softer) you can use soy sauce or terryaki sauce to heat everything up in after the chicken is browed and cooked through. make instant rice or regular rice seperate. thats all there is to it. shrimp scampi is also easy. buy the precooked, cleaned, peeled shrimp with or without tails (the tails are easy to take off so it doesnt matter) take the shrimp, half a stick of butter, and some olive oil and lots of garlic to taste put in a pan and simmer a bit til everything is nice and hot. toss over angel hair pasta so good so easy. top with parmasan if desired. tacos are easy to make too and you can use any meat. you can slow cook any kind of meat with any kind of seasoning you like. ive made everythign from chicken soup, to beef stew, to whole chickens, to beef stroganoff. we also eat fried ravioli thats good honghuyzhenni. ill make those with rice balls (very time consuming to make) baked ziti is very easy. 1lb of ziti pasta cooked per dirrections on box, one jar of sauce (or homemade)1lb of cooked ground beef, pork, or turkey, 1lbs of mozzerella cheese cubed or shredded. mix everything together in a baking dish cover and bake 30-45 min or until cheese is melted. if you like add extra shredded cheese to the top, bake covered but for the last 10-15 min uncover for a crisper top.sever with buttered italian bread or garlic bread or toast and a light garden salad. we also make alot of stuff from cream of mushroom soup. you can find those recipes on the cans of campbells soup themselves they are tasty and simple and make nice winter meals. ham steaks are easy you just heat them up, you can make a side of home made mac n cheese its easy too. the recipe is on the back of the velvetta cheese package. i rarely use recipes i just go by taste, look and smell. so it hard for me to tell you measurments or give actual recipes. i love cooking. unfortunatly everything i cook has come from my head, or from generations of family tradition, etc. reipes.com and the allrecipes. com are really good websites i get alot of ideas from there but i never once followed a recipe word for word LOL.

i love easy casseroles with rice/pasta at the bottom with veggies and cream of chicken soup add in whatever else you like chicken etc. also easy on the same note is a chicken pot pie . skip the crust just throw in frozen veggies condensed soup meat of choice and bisquick on top ; not exactly home made but in the asian section for something quick and delicious (my dh loooooves this) wanchai ferry sells in a takeout looking box a chicken meal that comes with the rice veggies sauce etc everything to make quality tasting chinese food for 5 , you just dice and add chicken and it cooks in about 10 minutes top, makes a lot and is a special treat for us

You could try something Asian maybe, I LOVE Asian food. Noodles with peanut sauce, fried rice, pumpkin soup, curry...the options are nearly infinite. I made fried ravioli last night and it was really good, that was new for me.

  1. Thanks to my twin`s ability to trek down here, my records are straightened out! I will be having my first appointment on February 29th. I will be 10 weeks-ish. Around here that is about when they want to see you. When did you get your first appointment?

  3. I`m interesed in getting an innotab for my kids. Are the extra downloads pricey? How is the product as a whole?
  4. Thought they were fixing the problem with the profiles? Mine is now starting to disappear and most of my friends profiles are gone. Is it getting fixed or what because its more than a joke at the moment. Maybe its the ads causing the problems because its the only thing that seems to stay when the profiles disappear.
  5. If you had a `favourable` cervix (started to dilate and soft) did a membrane sweep work for you?
  6. Should I buy my sister a Belly Bandit for her shower? She said that is what she wanted when I asked. I just have a hard time spending that much money on some thing she might niot like. Especially because it was me who put the dumb :) idea in her head!! I bought and used one for three out of my four and loved it...but is it for everyone? Or should I throw down the money to something more practical?
  7. Are your children exposed to two hours or less of TV per day? (This includes when your shows are on and they are awake and around at the same time in the same room)

  8. Just finished making a birthday cake for the first time from our baby girl for her daddys bday tomorrow :o)
  9. Extension of last Valentine question..I should clarify that we are having V-day dinner tomorrow alone but still just the fact that he bought our gifts at the same time at the same place bugs the s-it out of me. He knows I like plants and I`m pretty sure he went to a nice nursey and got me one but the fact is he told me he got his mom a small little plant. OMG I fee like I total b-tch but I feel like telling him I know what he probably got me and I do not want anything that you are giving your mom!! But then he wopuld know I snooped and saw where he went on our checking account.
  10. O.k I know this is a off the wall question..Is it weird and selfish of me to be annoyed that my husband has is giving his mom a Vanetine gift and card tonight when she comes over and wants to give me mine too today? I know I`m probably being sensitive and I feel bad that I made the comment `if you give me the same thing as your mom I`m gonna cry`. He said I should`nt ruin the surprise and I told him I was sorry but I just wanted our Valentines seperate because everything includes his family and it`s a day for lovers. Am I....
