jessica (1380.4 days ago) yes but if you can put up with the pain it will just be a couple of days before you dry up..but you have to be carefull not to do anything to you breasts because any kind of stimulation will cause them to produce longer
shez05 (1381.3 days ago) I have a 6month old and am currently breastfeeding and expressing for him during the day as I am back at work. I have heard from a few people that to make your milk dry up quicker and to relieve pain - you can put COLD - CABBAGE LEAVES on them...(buy a whole cabbage and put it in the fridge)....then at least once or twice a day put the leaves on your breasts. I hope that helps!
happyforest (1381.3 days ago) when i stopped bf i did it slowly, less and less each day. so maybe pump 15 min, then 10 min the next day, then 5 min. or you could go by amounts...whatever would be easiet, you know your schedule and your body. i couldnt deal with the engourgement pains
angie2008 (1381.4 days ago) Thanks, I`m not sure if i can take any drugs to help my milk dry up because i`m prego . Thats the whole reason I am doing this, my body can`t take this pregnancy along with my hungry daughter.
andriette and christians mummy liz (1381.4 days ago) Yes if u pump it will tell ur breats to make more milk or keep up ur supply, when i needed to let my milk dry i was told if the pain gets unbearable to go sit in a hot bath and let ur breasts hang in the water and u can rub ur breasts from ur neck downwards just to relieve it a bit.I was given a rx for dostinex,u will be able to get it where u live its just kinda expensive. Its a oxytocin inhibitor makes the procces of milk drying much faster.
