jenakers (890.9 days ago) Cooking bags are THE BOMB! Follow the instructions on the package. Couple tablespoons of flour in bag, shake, olive oil the chicken, season, heat the oven according to box, throw chicken in the bag, throw on a cookie sheet, bake according to cooking bag suggestions. The best part, there is no clean up, the chicken is always moist and you don`t have to babysit the food.
pooka (890.9 days ago) you can tell when the chicken is done by pushing its legs down and if they separate easy and you see no pink juice, clear juice only, then the chicken is done. I usually do 350F oven for about 30-45 minutes per pound at least. But make sure your chicken is not frozen, you HAVE to thaw chicken with bones in before cooking it or you will make yourself sick.
pooka (890.9 days ago) you can buy a whole roaster chicken and either put it in the oven to cook or in your crock pot.. then when it cools remove the meat for your pie and chicken salad. I`d add some spices to the chicken as its roasting for some better flavor. Garlic powder, salt, pepper, some rosemary, thyme, etc.
MichelleMc(pink!) (890.9 days ago) I always just put chicken breasts (boneless, skinless ones) in a casserole dish and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 35-45 mins. :)
jacobb-n-jordans-mommy (891 days ago) When you boil this weird froth boils out and that freaks me out haha.
sheework (891 days ago) I boil the chicken as well. Usually for about 20-25 mins. And sometimes I use chicken stock instead of water because it adds more flavor. Another thing I do is roast whole chickens in the oven or on the grill and then use that for those recipes. If you are weirded out by the boiling method the roasting might be better for you.
