amandad74 (889.4 days ago) Haha! it`s strange how we refer to things so differently depending on where in the world we live. Tea time to me has always been tea and cakes in the afternoon, between luch and supper, until we moved to the UK where they refer to supper as tea...I still can`t get used to it though as to me tea is something you drink lol!
mommyagain3 (889.5 days ago) I always thought tea time was a snack of tea and biscuits between lunch and dinner..lol oh well shows how much i know!!
jinx-marcell (889.5 days ago) Pretty sure a forenight is a week...I think I learned that one from Peter Rabbit. Great book if you have kids :)
hunnybunnysmama (889.5 days ago) that is a great question! i`ve noticed a few times recently someone using `fortnight` what`s that mean?
amber325 (889.5 days ago) oh ok cool I had no clue either...I thought they drank tea or it was snack time lol
.punky. (889.5 days ago) interesting!! I would`ve thought lunch/snack time too..
Lou-Li-Ro (889.5 days ago) I`m in Ireland and in here and the UK `tea-time` means dinner time, about 5:30 or 6 pm.
faith-star-x (889.6 days ago) ok so tea-time in the uk is dinner, we have breakfast around 8am, lunch around 1:30pm and then dinner around 5:30pm, hope this helps, it sounds funny having to explain it as ive never thought of it meaning anything other than feeding them lol xx
RobinG (889.6 days ago) great question, I`d like to know too :) I always assumed it referred to snack time. Since I dont refer to coffee time for my baby or lunch and from what little I know of tea time it is like a snack or brunch I think
