Prunes and apple juice are good - but pear juice is better (as effective as the prune and easier to take). Of course if it gets to the point where she hasn`t done a dooey for 3-4 days you have to give her a glycerine suppository.

mix prune juice with some water so the taste isnt too much to handle. You can also try the sugar water idea I herd that works as well.

As for water... make sure it`s warm water. That helped my LO when he was constipated.

3-4oz of water with 1tsp of brown sugar (white sugar works too, it`s just that brown sugar is better for them). Give every 4hours until they poop. That`s what my dr and public health nurse both recommended and it worked very well :)
