I beleive that if you love someone then what does it matter if they are male or female?? i tried the bisexual thing for a while when i was younger and i figured out it wasnt for me but I dont beleive being (gay) is something your born with any more than being (straight) is.. it is a choice and it is a choice someone has to make for themselves. I am a supporter of gays and lesbians.. I think everyone should be happy..I am a Christian and i know the bible say its wrong but the bible also says not to judge people for who they are..I think that if God thought it was that bad he would do away with it..but the bible also talks about free will.. so why would we be angry at someone for exspressing free will?? the bible also says not to get drunk..but how many of us listen to that part??there are millions of christians going out and getting drunk on the weekends..so why does one part of the bible have to be strickly followed and others dont apply?? thats what i dont understand..another example is lieing..the bible even made two commandments about it so it must be important but i dont know a single person that doesnt lie at least once a day...so again why does one part have to be followed but another that seems to be really important doesnt apply?? well i am prolly getting annoying now so i will stop writing..i just feel really strongly on this subject.. stop judging people for who they love!!oh and by the way congrats on ya`lls baby!! good luck with everything!!

I have a gay brother in law and I get along with his partner better than i do my own Sister in law. I dont care what people do behind closed doors as long as children are being taken care of!

Im my opinion, it doesnt matter to me weather or not you are in a realtionship with a female or male... i could care less... and if there is a baby/child in the situation, or about to be... as long as that child is LOVED, and taken care of like he/she is supposed to be, it doesnt matter who u are in-love with!!

I think a child needs a constant male & a female figure in their lives... but that doesn`t mean I`m against gay marriage either. It`s so important for a child to be raised with the ability to communicate and interact with a male and female. If you have 2 same sexed parents I`d hope they make damn sure to expose their children to the other sex on a daily basis. It`s a life skill they will need.

Marisha I really doubt people are turning gay and lesbian because it`s `cool`. Clearly not everyone is accepting and there is still so much hate out there towards that community that I really doubt people are following a trend in deciding that is right for their life. Why would anyone choose to be called sick and diseased or be hated just because they are loving someone? I think your statements here clearly show why people wouldn`t choose to be gay.

I agree with happy and 5 wow that was pretty hash comments and very offensive. A disease? And to say you dont judge `sick` people the whole post is judge mental. Genetically wrong? Some men and women have a difficult time conceiving. And many men and women create babies not out of love.

I support gay & lesbian couples, but when it involves kids then I get a little `iffy` and here`s my opinion on why. I think that having loving parents who are gay can still provide the love a nourish it takes to raise a child. And two loving gay people is a much better environemnt that straight couples who aren`t in a loving relationship. However with that being said, I also think it would be a difficult situation to bring a child in. When the child gets older, and is in grade school I can see the child being teased a lot because of other kid's opions of the child's parents. It seems like the child would go through a lot of teasing resulting in hurt because of their parent's decision. Of course, I believe as the child get`s older - say high school - the children get more educated, stop teasing, and really could care less about it. Just my two cents.

If she didn`t want to know, She Shouldn`t have asked. Surely she knew that she would get some strong opinions on here. Sure there are a lot women on here who support a gay couple. The majority of us are straight, to be honest I`ve only seen 2 or3 (including bi-sexual) talking about what they prefer/are with. Now normally NOBODY voices their opinions on a Gay person`s poll about them being gay. THAT`S because They Didn`t ask what we felt about their sexuality!

and also i think you cant compare a gay couple with an unhealthy man+woman couple. these things are too different to compare. plus who says that all gay couples are healthy families? they can be just as bad environment for the children from all other perspectives such as alcohol,drugs etc. as a man+woman couple.

well if you are asking, im giving my honest opinion: i think something is wrong with you. its unnatural. a man should love a woman, and a woman should love a man. this is how children are created. this is natural. i think something is genetically wrong with gay people.and i feel bad for them honestly. and also i think it has become `cool` to be gay.lots of people want to try it and stick with it even though they are not really gay. i took a class in college about it, our professor was gay and all we did was talk about how good it is to be gay. i`m sure 50% of my class figured `well it sounds like its cool, so I`m just gonna try it`. gayness is being encouraged these days, and i think thats wrong. however i wont judge anyone, to me its a desease,a you don`t judge sick people, all you can do is either feel bad for them or try to help them,but you are free to do whatever you want and i don`t care.

I sure do support them. You dont choose who you love. Its already written for you. You fall in love with someones soul, I personally think that as long as 2 people treat each other right and respect each other it dosent matter what ya got between your legs! LOL however if the `it` is a baby, I dont exaclty agree with calling a baby an it. but...opinions are like assholes........everyones got one. LOL

My eyes were opned when I watched many docmumentaries on the astounding number of children born with both sex organs. (hermaphrodite) Back in teh day they were automatically made into a girl even if all inside parts were male. And it is still sadly donr today!! Forced to grow as a girl. My hubbies cousin had a child born and they didnt know til blood work what the sex was. They all thought girl and ended up being a boy and it was brought up to raise him as a girl which they refused to do. Many parents were forced into gender reassignment when their boy had what was known as a micro penis. Or undecended male parts. (pseudohermaphroditism) Yes not common but sadly there are MANY out there that were made and raised a sex they really werent and what outside people see is a gay couple when in fact it isnt. drugs for hormones doesnt change what you are inside. Not all gays but some are. So I support it fully ~ I dont believe one just chooses it and as long as they love each other who are we to judge?? Esp since some mom and dad familes are abusive and far worse a setting ~ I know many gays and they have bigger hearts then some non gays I know :)

What does it matter to you whether or not a bunch of strangers on the internet support your relationship or not? I wouldn`t give a fig what people thought of me. At the end of the day, the only support you need is your own and your partner`s, no matter what sex they are. I`m bisexual, but my partner is the opposite sex. But would it really bother me if people disapproved of my choice if I was with another woman? Absolutely not. There`s enough crap going on in the world to disapprove of, and to be honest with you, small-minded people who campaign against same-sex relationships should just sit back and rethink a few things. There are so many more worthy causes to throw your weight behind. Be happy. We`re all here for a good time, not a long time. xx

I absolutely support gay n lesbian relationships. And I can`t believe how many people here are against it. I thought times are changing. Love is love whether it`s between the opposite or same sex. And what`s most important for a child is a loving, secure and stable family no matter if he has 2 moms, 2 dads or a mom and dad. As long as they are good role models.

Honestly if you would not have said what your preference I would not have made a fuss over it one way or another and still wont. Also, I was thinking what ladobruk wrote; what did you mean by IT? For any poll I have ever wrote relationship wise I always say hubby/SO. In this day and age, people are open to be with whom ever he or she choses and it will be very closed minded of me if I assumed everyone was in a man/woman relationship. I believe a man and a woman should be together, but it really doesn`t matter if I or anyone else on this site support or don`t support you in that regards. We are here to support in you as far as preganancy, parenting and our experiences.....

5against1 - I think its great that you plan to say to your children `when you find someone you love` instead of `when you find your wife/husband`. My entire life my dad has told me that he doesn`t care if I plan to date men, women, black men, hispanic women, or purple men (lol that is exactly his exact words to show me just how little he cared about the outside of the person), he only cares that I`m happy and they treat me right. My parents are divorced and my mom called up my dad when I was 14 because I had a crush on a boy of a different race and she was all freaked out, and he told her he could care less. I think my dad is a huge reason for how open-minded I am, so I think its great you`re doing that for your kids too :)

so am i! =)) this will be our second child together. and my partner is the `father figure` so, what does it matter if we are both anatomically female? my daughter loves her `daddy` and thats all that matters. the school, her doctors, and the neighbors are all very supportive of our family situation and we are treated just like any other family. i dont see any problem with it. Im just a little confused by what you mean in your poll, are you asking if we support having a child if youre in a lesbian relationship? or having a child if youre single? either way it doesnt really matter to me. the best setting would be where the child is loved and well taken care of, regardless of how many `parental figures` are in its life. family comes in all shapes and sizes, just like people.

i think this is the 1st poll that i am actually shocked at the percentages...my kids r young now, so they find it funny, but i will never say to my sons `when u find a wife sumday` or my daughter about finding a husband. it is whomever u choose to love, whether it b male or female.....
