I cannot stand it. It makes me think less of people =S Which I feel bad for because I know some people only do it to abbreviate. The only time I do it is LOL or bc (because).

I use it occasionally to text, but in emails and online I think it`s tacky and incredibly annoying. Although they might not be, it makes the person look unitelligent and uneducated. Maybe writting correctly has been beat into me because my Grandmother was an english professor. :)

It only seems 2 bother da `older` ppl dnt knw y ?!?!? Its simple 2 do takes up less time wen u av a baby 2 look after aswel , use shud try it n kill sum time instead of bein a killjoy(!) haha

It never really crossed my mind unless it was something used that I had no idea what they were trying to say. I am guilty of using `ppl` instead of people and I have a college degree......maybe people are in texting mode.

what bugs me is when I read a poll that people are defending their opinion and they use words like CUZ or THO.... I completely lose interest in what they are trying to say...

I find people make a lot of mistakes, it actually shocks me the way they spell it. I know am not perfect but I do think that we need to get some basic words right. I remember seeing the word `awful` spelled offull by someone on here and I was like what?! I feel it looks bad on the person and I even wonder how they passed their English subject in school LOL.
