My guy is almost 16 months and we still use it. His room is far enough away that we wouldn`t hear him cry unless he was totally hysterical without it. I will probably keep it in there too because I want to know when he switches to the toddler bed if he`s up and rustling around or in bed.

Grace is almost 22 months and i still use hers even though we have a small house. When i go to bed i close my door and hers is always closed when she is sleeping so to be able to hear her i use the monitor, never thought about the age that i will stop using it.

Thank you for your replies... little one is still ino our room but i am going to move him into his own next week. Just wonedered how long most people keep using the monitor for.

My DS is 16 months & we still use it cuz his room is too far away from ours to hear him when we`re sleeping. I`m not sure how much longer - honestly it`ll be awhile cuz #2 is coming in a few weeks & they`ll eventually share a room.

I never used one only because we have the tiniest house ever! I nanny for a family that had a very large house and the little girl was 3 when they stopped using one.
