i had the vacume extractor, because my baby was having a hard time getting through the bones down there. i ended up getting a few stiches, not too bad. and fortunately my baby did not get a cone-head from it. she was just under 6 lbs at birth.

My sister in law went throught this and it was down right horrible for her. Her progression was slow so they put her on patosin. Then the pain got really bad so they gave her an epi. They continued to check her for hours but she never progressed past 5 cm. So they had to do and emergency c -section. As she was laying there she realized she could see the reflection of her belly in the light above her. She started gagging and just as the doctors started there insicision one of the nurses turned the light. She says it was the most petrifying experience of her life and has vowed to never have any more children. I would definately discuss everything with doc when you do go into labor so that they don`t prolong your labor if they do need to do a c-section. Good luck.

During labor they said I was very narrow because my LO was having a hard time coming out. I pushed for a total of 3 hours, in 1 hour increments before she finally got out. I though I was pushing as hard as I could but as soon as the dr said `this is the last time or we`ll have to get her out another way` I pushed and pushed and she was finally out.

WHen I had my daughter the Dr said I would not be able to deliver a bigger baby than her she was 6 lbs 10 oz. My 2nd was induced at 38 weeks due to size he did let me choose if I wanted a c section. Anyway he was 8 1/2 lbs. Pushed for ever and they suctioned him out. It was scary because they thought they may have to break his shoulder to deliver him. It did not happen thank goodness. Good luck.

I was told I was very narrow and my daughter was 8lbs 8ozs. Needless to say I had a c-section after 27hrs of labor. Dont let labor go past 8hrs without asking about a c-section. Recovery is not that bad I mean it hurts pretty bad the first day but Im up moving and almost back to normal in a few days. Plus you dont have to worry about the burning when you pee afterwards. I have had 2 c-sections and I will have my 3rd in 6 months and I lose weight quick and everything. The biggest advantage is if you have a little extra skin you get a tummy tuck at the same time. LOL.

Yup, i was very narrow..so much that my daughter was 2 weeks late and they thought she was going to be early but she wouldnt drop or couldnt really, but because of inducing labor being a harder labor my dr waited until last min, almost considered a planned c-section but i ended up having to be induced and it was pretty bad labor, they had ppl aside just incase we had to do an emergency c-section, so i would start looking into both and prepare yourself incase they have to make a decision...trust weather its an easy labor or hard, or how long its almost a fuzzy blur when your done, a happy fuzzy blurr....good luck

  7. I`m at 19 weeks, and just had my 20 week ultrasound a week early (thank you THANKSGIVING!!), am overjoyed to find out everything is A OK BUT I have `marginal Placenta previa` my midwife says she`s NOT concerned and that it will VERY VERY VERY likely move up on its own and I can deliver naturally and vaginally as planned, if not I have to have the dreaded C-section. Which i`m SO terrified over I get into a panic every time i think about it. So, my question is: Has anyone here HAD marginal placenta previa and had it move up by the time the baby is born?
