I have Thalassemia Minor, and my dh had to get tested to see if he had it as well, ends up he didnt, but if he would have had it We would of had to termanate the pregnancy...When you have thalassemia, your red bloods cells dont carrey enouph oxygen/iron..and if both of you have it just minor, most likley the baby would have it major, and wouldnt likley servive when born...it does run in the family, and iv always had a problems with my blood, but if your husband has never really had problems with his blood and nobody in his family im sure it will be fine...

my sisters test came positive as well but i dont know too much about it, i think she said something that the baby wont have it because the father is not greek something like im not sure tho sorry
