going to the ER has to be the worst possible thing unless your having serious issues like respiratory distress and need to be in the hospital. Do people not get the whole `your sick STAY home` idea? It`s a communicable disease! Why go to a public place and infect other people. It`s no wonder flu is a pandemic. Reminds me of the other day someone on the phone with a sick co-worker telling them not to come into work and arguing with them to stay home. People are so dense sometimes. I hate going to the hospital for Mat appointments knowing all around me are sick people who are too selfish to keep their sicknesses at home. Even the NURSE doing my blood test was saying how he felt under the weather and thought he was getting a cold. WTF!!!

No, they won`t test you and they will probably give you heck for coming in and risking infecting other people. Only people experiencing complications should seek medical attention.

I wouldn`t want to spend any time around other sick ppl in the ER. My dh has flu symptoms at the moment, he scheduled an appt. w/ his general practitioner.

HELL NO lol There is a 12 hour wait on base in the ER...If one of us had swine flu I`d just assume the rest of us did and keep everyone in the apartment for a few days.
