When she was little she would nurse about every half hour for a couple hours right before bed. She slept great at night so I was ok with that.

I nurse my newborn every hour almost during the day but he sleeps through the night if I give him a bottle of formula at night.

I fed my daughter every hour to hour and a half for the first several weeks. She is 14 months old now, and she still will nurse every 3 hours, even though she eats regular food too. If we go a long time during the day with out nursing (more than 5 hours), then she will still cluster feed every hour at night. Every baby is different.
