Right now I`m more worried about the world ending when the LHC is switched on - or within a month of it! Had it been a movie based on `2112`, then I`d`ve wanted to watch it!

I just saw the previews for this last night also. We don`t go out to the movies so I`ll probably NetFlix it when it comes out. But like jacobbs-mommy stated it reminded me alot of all the Y2K hype!

I just saw the preview for this movie yesterday. I want to see it. You know, as many bad things that people contribute to negatively effect our world...I wouldn`t be suprised if something gave-way eventually. Hopefully not for a rrreeeaaallllyyyy long time though!

i will also watch the movie-but don`t follow all the hype. Just seems a little unbelievable that the day the world would ACTUALLY end would be broadcasted so widely years ahead of time...just like every person in the world knowing the day they are going to die..far fetched if you ask me. IMO!!!

I think its all BS. My hubs will probably watch it because he`s researched the subject quite extensively, so I`m sure I`ll get suckered into watching it too.

I get spooked about these kind of things. I don`t want to think about anything morbid happening. I try and just ignore the hype about it but with this movie coming out and some stuff I`ve read online.. it`s kind of freaking me out! I wasn`t freaked out about the `2000` and I guess it was because I was 18 and had no kids lol. I know it`s not going to happen.. or at lest I keep saying that! ugh..

The movie looks like fun but, I don`t buy into this silly boogyman-world ending date. I remember in 1984 someone said the world would end. As a child I was freaking out when I went to bed. I asked my mom `is the world ending tonight?` she said `No, but, if you don`t wake up tomorrow..you won`t even know it ended` -Gee thanks, mom. I stayed up all night afraid to go to sleep BUT, I WAS 9! As an adult, I think it is funny when other grown adults get afraid of this stuff. My parents are archeologist. People have predicted the world ending since the concept of communication.
