mmm pumpkin roll...will you please cook for me? =))) i would send in food as well. those edible arrangment fruit baskets are pretty good, we had one given to us when my brother passed away. but pizza is usually a good thing, doughnuts with coffee, or something from a bakery like rolls or whatever, danishes, etc.

anything that is food related.. considering the time of year I would make a pumpkin roll. They are delicious... I plan on making all my friends one for the holidays. I found a good recipe on allrecipes.com.. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pumpkin-Roll-II/Detail.aspx?prop31=8

My sister was on the oncology floor for many months most of the time. The last days of her life she was there for almost 2 months. We brought up pizza and wings for lunch/dinner for them and they LOVED it!!! that is what I`d do :) We were told by them when people donate they give food because of money or a gift cert it must go to hospital and they dont always see it directly ~
