I`ve had both.. two vaginal and one c and with the vaginal I had not even a Tylenol.. I left the hospital within 12 hours and other then a bit of soreness and tenderness was fine. C-section was 4 days... morphine.. holding your guts cause they feel like they are gonna fall out. 6 weeks of recovery.. ugg.. SO much worse for me!

I was very close to begging for a c-section during my hours of horrible labour, but once the delivery was over with I was really happy to have gone vaginally. At least then the hard part is over and you can concentrate on your LO :) My SIL had a c-section and she could barely hold her LO in the days after and couldn`t even attempt BFing. Labour sucks but I think it`s better than surgery, if given the option.

I have never had a vaginal birth but I do know that the recovery time for a c section has to be much worse.
