Appropriate Toys for 1 to 2 Year Olds

- Push-and-Pull toys to improve muscle strength, coordination and balance.
- Musical toys such as a xylophone or drum to help them learn the difference between sounds, and to improve fine motor dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Simple nesting toys such as cups or boxes
- Hammer and Peg toys, for pounding pegs through holes in a frame
- Blocks of different sizes, shapes and colors

Ball pits seem to be pretty popular these days. We`re getting my LO one only since we have a baby blow up pool that we never opened and the balls are pretty cheap! Of course she`ll be getting ther things but I have no idea what else. Probably some push toys...
