love.nora (863.1 days ago) It is very against the law and I would file a police report if you catch her in your home again. I would first send a notice by mail or email to your landlord that is registered so he has to sign for it. In the letter state that nobody is to enter your home unless arranged ahead of time. This letter will help if you need to follow up with charges, cause you gave them a warning. The only reason a landlord is allowed to enter even without permission is if there is somehting major liek a water break or something. EditDelete
Str8 As (863.2 days ago) kimmarie, I would set up a camera and take his butt to court. Not for money, but to prove a point! That is not right to enter into someone`s personal space without them knowing. Marebear2010, you have rights as a renter. I would seek legal advice and see what can be done to him for violations. kimmarie (863.2 days ago) My landlord does this to me all the time when I am not home. I have researched renters rights and he has no right to enter my apartment unless there is an emergency and needs to enter. Or he has to provide at least 24 hours notice prior to entering. I know that he comes in by the way I set my locks on my door. He thinks that I don`t know but I do. He is merely just being nosey. He is not coming in for any such important reason. It ticks me off to say the least. I have yet to say anything cause I don`t plan to be living here much longer. EditDelete
